Agreed but never taken for granted....but also do not want to see him remembered for most recent performances which have been ****.Originally posted by Lee View PostGoing to be a bit weird looking him up on Wiki and seeing 16 seasons in the first team with us - a rare one club footballer - and then seeing LA Galaxy or whoever under the table.
FFS.
A true, true legend. Our best ever player and often taken for granted.

No...Originally posted by G View PostWe'll be well short on scousers next season never mind star players. Need a scouse heart beat in that team.
We just need a Leader!
Someone to organise, take charge and lift the side when things aren't going well..
That doesn't have to be a Scouser..
Still plenty of them coming through the ranks but it'll be a long time before we find another Gerrard.

Greatest player to pull on the shirt, but it's time. We're not going to miss the Gerrard of today, but we're already missing Gerrard in his prime.
When this season is over it will be sad to see him go, it will well and truly be the end of an era. At his best his was unplayable, he had everything. I'm annoyed at Rodgers because his mismanagement of him this season has robbed us of enjoying his last months at the club. We should be cheering him off the bench and applauding game changing cameos. Instead he starts almost every game and not even in his best position and we are left shaking our heads cursing his inclusion. It shouldn't be like that, the guy is a true legend.

Good way of putting it, he'd have dragged this squad single handedly to CL football in/near his prime, just like he did in 03/04.Originally posted by captainfog View PostGreatest player to pull on the shirt, but it's time.
