why are people so convinced that bringing him back will rock the boat?

for all we know it might get the place even more buzzing.

Klopp seems to know what he's doing and he's a big enough character to handle gerrard. People seem to think that if we bring him back that all of a sudden he's going to take over klopp

if both gerrard and klopp feel the right role is available in the right capacity then why not

Repeated failures like Warnock and McLaren always get work and Gerrard can be in the running for a manager job based, it would seem, just on who he is. And people wonder why England has no top class coaches/managers. They'd never get a chance.

Hopefully he doesn't take it, comes back to us and works his way up

MK Dons are not doing at all well this season, they need a Warnock (really) not an utter novice looking to make a big(ish) splash.

This! He deserves it for what he helped us achieve over his career.

                              No.

This type of backwards looking, sentimental bollocks should have has no place in the modern Liverpool.

He doesn't 'deserve' to come on for a few games in order to pick up a league winners medal. I actually think he'd baulk at the very notion.

                                This...

He was a great servant to the club as a world class player, he is entering a new phase in his life and he has to learn it to see if he has any chance of being world class in his new discipline, be it coaching youth, coaching first teams or indeed media.

Also he should have a break to decide what he wants or is actually good at moving forward.

Klopp is creating an atmosphere through the club in his image. Stevie has to fit into it certainly not as a player. But that will take time..maybe even the tenure of Klopp's reign.
