The more I think about this the more I can see why Chelsea supporters are pissed off. He's had run ins with them before, his personality won't suit the club or their supporters... The majority are simply not smart enough in my experience (you only have to read the comments from supporters group chiefs today), he is replacing a club legend that nobody wanted sacked anyway.
This is a Hodgson situation for Rafa, he's got no chance at all... It's a matter of if when not if he gets the boot. Every time they don't win, just about everyone will be on his case - the press, the players, the 'supporters'.
It's a bold and rather silly move in my opinion.Cult Member. Nazi puncher.

However, if they did want him, I'd sell for £25m
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

Remember when Rafa said this?
"Chelsea is a big club with fantastic players, every manager wants to coach a such a big team. I would never take that job, in respect for my former team at Liverpool, no matter what. For me there is only club in England, and that's Liverpool"

edit: not saying he shouldn't have taken the job and I understand why he did... but I just find this kind of cynically funny.
