Ah it's the Mancs and Everton are our main rivals no doubt but the fans from Chelsea are just the worst

I dislike spurs more than Chelsea. Always have. Going back to the days of graham Roberts, Garry Stevens, Garth crooks, Gary mabbut, mark falco, Clive Allen et al. Although I loved to watch hoddle. Their fans have always been cunts. God any knows how bad they would of been had they been successful. Although I like Chas and Dave. Life is full of conflicts.

Chelsea aren't historical "rivals" of our because they have no history. Nobody gave a flying **** about them before 2004, when I was growing up there were only 2 "big" clubs in London and Chelsea were no more relevant to anything than Charlton or Crystal Palace or whoever. A decade ago most Arsenal and Spurs fans would have struggled to muster adequate hatred for Chelsea compared to their own rivalry, let alone a club like us or Utd.

However, after having had billions spent on them by a rather shady and morally questionable individual and having generally acted like complete c*nts since (both club and fans) its pretty hard not to have developed a certain extra level of dislike for them of the sort that I don't think I could quite muster for, Arsenal say.

How are we all with MO, he's as famous a Red as Torres, but signed for our most hated rivals ?
When we won the CL it was like 'in your face Owen. You left us to win trophies and you missed out. Hahaha'.

Winning the Carling Cup was certainly not an 'in your face Torres' moment.

2005 was an exciting time. We were venturing into the unknown with Rafa. Now we're just mired in mediocrity - for the past 2 years at least.

It's a different time and place now.
          Oh I don't know.

            That sums it up!

The great memories are still there, but honestly don't wish Chelsea any succes no matter who is in charge or what players they have.

It's funny how Benitez got roundly slaughtered for the two 0-0s, as though it "proved" something about his perceived negativity when he'd been there for a matter of days. Now, 9 goals in two games, 4 in 2 for Torres, and - as I predicted last week - he's barely getting any praise at all LOL. "Two poor teams they should have beaten anyway".

A lot of us thought the way he was treated and reported on when with us was anti-LFC. It's interesting to see now that it's not - they just really detest him. As much as he was my number one choice in the summer, I'm kinda glad it's not our problem any more. The coverage he receives is still utterly laughable, pathetic and just plain wrong most of the time.

Whilst I agree that utd and Everton are our main rivals, I don't agree when.people say Chelsea have no history. Of course they do. It wasn't trophy laden by any means. Still history. They had a unique ground always engrained with memories of cars parked behind the goals. Their fans be hard *******s I know a mate's dad that was stabbed in the shed end. Always been a horrible lot.

The "no history" thing clearly means "no history of success". A jibe at the nouvea-riche, Johnny-Come-Latelys. It's a bit gloaty but it's true.

I did enjoy the old cars being parked at the side of the pitch.

I used to detest Arsenal during the George Graham era. Over the years my respect has grown for them to the point i'm actually quite jealous. New stadium. Stability. Regular CL. If they were more successful I'd probably dislike them more.
                      Oh I don't know.

The way I see it Chelsea will be successful with or without Rafa for as long as they have Roman's money. With Rafa there it just makes it more tolerable for me.

I was able to laugh at the first 3 results as it was funny to see them fail and to see their reactions. Now that they've got 2 decent wins I can be pleased for Rafa. Win-win in my eyes.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

It seems to me no one here likes Chelsea. No one wants Chelsea to do well. But I like Benitez. And he seems to me to be one of the few football managers who actually can make a big difference and doesn't just happen to be the mug in charge when things go well.

It's not like being pleased for Benitez if he does well there has any bearing on whether he actually does.
                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

So basically most people on here want the Scum to walk to another title. Great attitude, don't look at the bigger picture...

I'm a Liverpool supporter, I'd rather have a go at catching Chelsea than desperately hoping they win every game. And have City gone out of existence?
