They had been fierce rivals but be honest, we'd slipped below them when he left and they're still way ahead, for all the reasons we know so well. He won the CL with them last year, and we weren't even in it.Originally posted by Norbert Dentressangle View PostSame as Torres currently, he plays for a rival. Unlike Torres, he didn't leave us for a rival
I wish he hadn't left but I can't really blame him for wanting to go at that time. Maybe the way he did it left a nasty taste but even then it's possible we don't really know the full story.
I want Benitez to do well but I can't say quite the same for Torres. And if we can't win the league, I can think of others I'd like to win it less than Chelsea..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Im failing to see your point.Originally posted by G View PostAnyone you like,we have threads for these two even though they are still in the game and now with another English club, why not threads for others?
Im pretty sure there are Charlie Adam and Andy Carroll threads in this section?
Whats wrong with keeping up with their progress? The times they are a changin'.

whats the point in it either. We can all see how they are getting on,must it have its own thread?Originally posted by Gibbo View PostIm failing to see your point.

I think personally it lessens our abilites to let go of them both?
Carroll is still our player so understandable there is a thread about him and the Charlie adam one originated when he was an LFC player and is never posted in anymore because he isn't anymore.Unlike these threads.

G, for someone who wants us all to let go, you're posting in this thread a fair bit.

I don't think most will agree to that at all. It was a very split fan base at the time.
With hindsight maybe the views are different but that's largely due to who replaced him rather then realising it would maybe have been better if he had stayed. I'm sure anyone who wanted him gone didn't invisige who his replacement would be.
Anyway, I don't get the need to discuss either of them now that they are where they are, but that's just me, others wish we still had Rafa and that's why this thread is still going strong IMO.
