Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom- 2 years 1year 0.5 years

Strange to see LFC supporters wanting Chelsea to do so well.

Firstly it's about wanting Rafa to do well. Secondly, we aren't competing with them at this point in time, so the point that we want them to do well is irrelevant. And, it would be nice if he can prove those idiots that they were wrong.

It's quite straightforward. Like rafa and would rather Chelsea win than the mancs or arsenal as they're irrelevant in terms of history & title count. Him winning there will have to change the media perception of him which has always pissed me off and means the mancs aren't winning more. He will also shut their own fans up or expose them for what they are should they continue to insist he isnt good enough for them or be singing about di Matteo in the 16 minute of their title winning match...

Until we can compete means just that. That we're getting there and when we do face them, I want us to win. But someone will be winning titles when we don't and given the above, despite it being for plastic fc, I want that to be rafa. Nothing to do with us or Rodgers.

          Again it's pretty simple.

Never will I understand wanting to see another team do well regardless of who is their manager, Rafa for the most part was great for us but he left 2 and a half seasons ago, what he does after that if its not LFC based for me is irrelevant and he's just another opposition manager when we play against them and in my eyes a rival in the league.

I understand this to a point because I remember wanting Kenny to win with Blackburn.

BUT, and it is a big BUT. This is Chelsea, the team/fans who despise us and despised (and probably still do) Rafa. Why should he do well for them? And before anyone says they are not our rivals, well for me personally they are, so I wish them nothing good at all. And we are competing with them as far as I am concerned. Might not be those massive CL semis, but we are still in the same league and going for top 4 right?

The only time I will ever wish Rafa Benitez Chelsea Manager good luck is when they play the Scum. Thats it.

But as has been said before (more than once) I find it weird all the good feeling towards the Chelsea Manager.

Gone are the days when I viewed football rivalry as tribal. Maybe it's because I'm slowly getting old I don't know.

You can try and pretend the two aren't linked but if you are wishing Rafa well you are wishing Chelsea well, the two can't be seperated, if he does **** Chelsea do ****, if he does well Chelsea do well.

Not having this not competing stuff either, it's unlikely we'll finish above them of course but they are capable of imploding at anytime and it could get poisonous there very quickly. Lets give it a go rather than becoming Chelsea supporters.

Probably mate, but I just cannot forget/forgive all the FSW jibes at Rafa and all the horrid things the Chavs and Mourinho said about us and Rafa. I hate that club, it really is that simple. Same with Scum.

Everton are rivals but hate is not a word I would use now, especially following their support for the Justice campaign. Different class.

I take it then no-one here wanted Kenny to do well at Blackburn. Interesting. I was happy for him, especially when he stopped United winning the title. Each to their own. Personally I don't understand why so many get so upset about what other people think, even if what other people think has absolutely no bearing on anything. Funny old game.

I hope Rafa does brilliantly, so that it's plain to everyone that he can manage a wealthy club full of prima donna players, but just as he's about to win the big trophy...the hand of Roman intervenes in some ****ty way, and ****s it all up.

Although if it came down to Chavs or utd for the title on the last day, i know who i'd reluctantly rather win, it would just be making the best of a bad thing imo..

Well not really. But hey, if you think like this than fair enough but it doesn't make what you think as right nor what me and others think as wrong.

                                Aye - good point Shaggy.

My old man has always had a soft spot for Kenny, as we all did really, and always wanted his teams to do well. Even at Newcastle.
