So why when we look at Chelsea does Di Matteo winning both of those, and as it happens having a virtually identical win ratio to Rafa so far, not count at all?
Also...LOL......talk about totally distorting what I said. :P

I didn't say they don't count. At all. I said the league is the true barometer of where a team is at. And it is.

You can't talk about this any more without being pigeonholed one way or another.

As he's being used as the baseline for the assessment of whether chelsea are doing decent, did you rate Di Matteo as a manager? I can't remember.

To get rid of him now or at any point before the end of the season would be mental even by their standards.

Nope, its utterly impossible. Sean, I don't want to fall out with you but I find you to be utterly intractable and myopic on this subject. I think you forget that you are not debating this with fans of other clubs who think Rafa is a fat waiter, but people who generally rate the guy and respect what he achieved with us, however don't think he can walk on water. But hey, you probably think I'm just another Sky Sports influenced hater. We're not going to get anywhere ever on this and it just ends up winding me up to ****, so I'm just going to agree to disagree and stay out of this thread from now on

If they lose (looking unlikely now) it's only going to lead to even more ugly scenes with the fans, but if the Russian got rid of him, it just makes him (the Russian) look weak. It's a pity that situation isn't going to crop up (at least not today).

Nope, I don't think that at all, nor am I myopic at all. And it doesn't wind me up either. All I've done is posted facts and said he's doing a decent job with a decent record so far. I don't think he 'walks on water'......I find comments like that unnecessarily divisive and reductive. There's nothing unreasonable in what I've posted, but if it winds you up so much I guess it says more about your feelings toward this topic than it does mine. Up to you man.

                            Oh I don't know.

Seems he's arguing against nothing...he said 'hes doing okay, not exceptional'...words to that effect. I've never said he's doing exceptionally! Haha. Just posted his record, said its decent, which it is, said they came 6th with 64 points last season, which they did, and that's it!
