It's going to be pretty embarassing for him that he's talking about a contract only until the summer. He could easliy be sacked before the weekend!

Will do more harm for Chelsea also. His 10 managers in 10 years probably cost him a chance of Guardiola and any top class manager would be utterly stupid to even take that job

Like that. I really hope spurs catch them. Could be the start of a downward spiral.

I see Moyes is 4/1 for the Chelsea job, come on Roman make it happen!

He was already beyond loaded anyway, so I think for someone as ambitious as Rafa the financial remuneration is scant consolation for how things have gone for him at Chelsea.
Not so sure myself. He's probably the most analytical of all the managers and would've known he was walking in to. For sure.

From what I've seen, you go to Chelsea to do anything other than stay for a while. It's a manager's payday

I suspect that the attraction of working in the premier league again and trying to resurrect Torres' reputation was his key motivation for joining Chelsea. No doubt Rafa is surprised just how poor Torres has become.

It was always highly unlikely to work out for him but I guess the ****wittery of the Chelsea fans shocked even him.

Chelsea is still a ticking timebomb, it has been since before AVB joined them - as long as Terry has the ear of Abramovich every manager will be undermined unless they win every game.

To think we could have put that disgrace of a club out of business if we hadn't bottled the Champions League decider league game at Stamford Bridge all them years ago.

And apparently had one Roman Abramovich as our owner.

                              I'm pleased that hasn't happened!

Yup, it was a toss-up between us and them and I am genuinely thankful he chose them because we'd be the most hated club in the world right now.
