Purslow has a couple of valid points.

All the same there is no need for him to talk so negatively about Rafa. After all he did sack him. He clearly has an agenda against Rafa and he has no reason to push it.

Did he really stick the boot in? Just said Rafa is a manager used to having lots of control and that Chelsea is a bad fit because their managers get the opposite of that. There was some positive stuff too about treating players equally. I think everything he's said (apart from the contentious bit about his control at lfc) was said by people here when he took the job.

I don't like Purslow. No questions or doubts about that. But I don't think he is far off what most lfc fans thought when Rafa took the Chelsea job. He just isn't a right fit for that club at all and it was clear to most when he agreed to take the job.

Also, did anyone hear Henchoz on talksport last night? They replayed it this morning on Brazil and Irani. He proper stuck the boot into Rafa's man management style. He ended the interview with saying something along the lines of "Rafa only talks to you when he needs something. Gerrard and Carragher don't like him". Pretty strong words

He has precious little experience of the man. I prefer to pay more heed to folk like Didi and Dirk who actually played and worked under him for actual lengthy periods of time. Henchoz was bombed out by the man, he definitely isn't bitter
