I really hope we don't see NESV bringing Rafa back. The club needs to move forwards and not backwards. The Roy Hodgson experiment is an almighty cock up but it doesn't mean that the decision to part ways with Rafa was entirely wrong.

Were we not meant to be getting away from these circular arguments?
Funny how the same irritants are littering this thread with their anti-Rafa comments. Can't wait to tell everyone how badly he's doing at Inter. Pathetic.'Religion is killing each other over who has the best imaginary friend'

It's a thread about Rafa's fortunes at Inter - and he IS doing badly.
What shall we do, only discuss wins?
You're like a manager who blames the papers for getting him the sack, because they're printing the scores

If you think that Gerrard don't have very much influence of the pitch then that is laughable IMO.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostYou can state your opinion of why it wouldnt be wise to consider what rafa's done at inter, but you cannot say what NESV will or wont do, because you do not know. You state your opinion as fact, which is irritating beyond belief.
And your nonsensical bile re Gerrard, is really starting to irk.
He isn't any different to what Raul was at Real or Henry at Arsenal or Eto'o and Ronaldinho at Barcelona. Players with much influence of the pitch and the club need to get rid be able to move forward.
Fantastic players but also with big egos.
Gerrard isn't a god you know. He is a player that want what is best for himself just as many other players. He make mistakes and acts like a **** sometimes just as many other players.Stop the cyberhate

Nowhere near the so-called influence you think he does.Originally posted by Arn View PostIf you think that Gerrard don't have very much influence of the pitch then that is laughable IMO.

How do you know what gerrard wants?
Of course he makes mistakes and acts wrongly sometimes - like every single player in the world.

Originally posted by danperkins View PostI don't think we have a good squad, hence having the likes of Eccelston,Spearing,Poulsen,Jovo,Babel on the bench every week, peppered with weak links we are IMO.
But we should be doing better than current position suggests, IMO poor manager and poor squad. Both need to be addressed.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostRafa not getting right was part of our problem last season (other factors contributed too though).Rafa watch you say?Originally posted by Arn View PostIf you think that Gerrard don't have very much influence of the pitch then that is laughable IMO.

.....and he is doing fairly badly. Some people seem to be delighting in it. Still early days yet and i've posted my views on Rafa at Inter previously in this thread. I don't actually think he will last all that long myself.Last edited by Ben_Itez; 21-11-10, 06:38 PM.'Religion is killing each other over who has the best imaginary friend'

Ive edited my quoted post above.
I know he's doing fairly badly that is not my point. It's certain anti-Rafa posters who seem to be dominating this thread delighting in the fact with a 'told you he was ****' kind of attitude which is bugging me.'Religion is killing each other over who has the best imaginary friend'

He's one of the few top managers managers in the world. He's not quite up there with Mourinho but some of that is down to bad choices on Rafas part and bad luck.Originally posted by Imustbreakyou View PostI really hope we don't see NESV bringing Rafa back. Had Rafa won the league with LFC and won Seria A he'd be classed in Mourinhos bracket. He's made a terrible judgement call going to Inter and will leave a failure in the near future. Wrong to go there and he's had bad luck on the injury front and was not backed in the transfer market. But he would have known what he was getting himself into.
Would I have him back at Liverpool? Yes. He made mistakes, but when he was getting it right he had his team ripped apart by financial constraints. And let's be honest, there is no better manager out there who we could bring in. At best the other stand out candidates have potential. None have proven anything.
Rafa has proven he can compete with the best in Europe. And has proven he understands the club. He was on his way to the Holy Grail and I'd love him to get a chance to win it with proper financial backing.Forwards.......
