FFS the press are a joke! They're not even attempting to hide their contempt for the man. Trying to ridicule him after one defeat in a tinpot kickabout

Feeling the heat already, Rafa! Inter Milan crash to Atletico Madrid in European Super Cup

Not that i disagree about the press and their hate for Benitez - but genuinely, why the **** do they have such a problem with him?

There are tonnes of arsehole managers out there, why are they so cunty with Rafa?

Well he doesn't give them anything does he...never lets his guard drop, doesn't play their game. But that should really only bother the relative handful of journos who are directly affected. ****ing every cunt wants to stick their boot into Rafa and like you I don't get it. I think maybe some of them just can't understand his methods...and instead of trying to understand, they stick the boot in instead. Easier that, innit.

Yeah but Ferguson hardly gives them what they want, does he? He ****ing bans half of them from MUFC press conferences and suchlike. But none of them stick the boot in.

          Why rafa?

Well they're scared stiff of Ferguson aren't they....and again **** knows why. The Rafa thing I'll never understand. He's always struck me as such a nice fella...in fact some journos/media types have said what a nice bloke he is when you 'get up close', and they'd sound surprised about it. Didn't that cunt Shreeves once say something similar?

Dont recall Shreeves saying it, but it's obvious that Rafa's a top fella. Always dignified, polite and has a good sense of humour too. I'd suggest Rafa the manager, is perhaps a little harder and strictly professional, while Rafa the man is just a great bloke.

Yep, I'd add extremely generous and kind too, what with all those donations.

And the pub episode in Germany was just legendary

To be honest, how much changing does a treble winning side need?

A slight hint of Clough v Revie, perhaps?

Rafa used to ridicule the press, hence the inevitable.

The media can make or break you.

Anyway, why Rafa walked straight into a job after the obvious trauma he suffered at LFC over the last twelve months is beyond me.

He really needed at least a year out of the game imo to recapture his mojo.

The Inter job was indeed a top job to land but it could have an adverse affect on Rafas career imo.
