Emre Can has told kicker that it was an "honour" to receive an offer from Juventus in the summer but insists he is solely focused on Liverpool this season.

Can said: "It's always an honour to receive an offer from such a renowned club, but currently I am only focused on the season with Liverpool. My agent takes care of the rest.

"The Premier League is just a really cool league, the most interesting in the world, but you must always respect other big clubs and leagues."

Asked if it was possible that both he and Klopp could be at Bayern next season, he replied: "You never know what will happen. And I don't know what Jurgen Klopp plans."

Pretty decent response from him really. Not sure we could have expected much more. I hope he does stay and realise his potential with us. I think he will go on to be a top player and if he does so while at another club while the likes of Wij and Hendo waltz around our midfield I for one will be quite gutted.

Yup this. I'm not at all impressed with Can, I'd rather have one of the Watford midfielders, at least they use their power productively.

I think Djimi was worse in the air (50 pence head) and he struggled to play the ball accurately past 10 yards. I think he sometimes got confused about which foot goes forward first. He did have four or five players around him who could defend really well.

He's not going to want to do that. He will leave for Juve in the summer on a free. Unless Juve want to bring him in early then we aren't in a position to get any money for him in Jan.
