I think getting rid of him in the long term will benefit us. I don't think he's ever going to consistently play at the level we want him as he's too much of a maverick with his approach to the game. That's that's kind of symptomatic and an issue with some of our players at the moment and to get on a winning run, we need more stability.

Would be a big upgrade imo. Younger than Can and already a better all round player. Would go as far as to say that Goretzka at 22 yo is a better CM than any of our current optons.

That's all very well, but he has to agree to being sold. I think he's following a long term plan.

If there is any truth that Bayern want him them it is a no brainer for him, he started out there and they get all the best German players.

I think if Barcelona want Goretzka they'll get him. There's plenty of frees floating around this summer though so hopefully we can get one or two.

I'm not that fussed about Can, but that is mainly about Keita coming in the summer tbh, Can will be a good player and it's a shame he wants to go. The 100k contract Dejan got is probably not making these negotiations any easier though.
