He seemed to make bad decisions every time he was given the opportunity to do something going forward, be it the wrong pass, checking back for more time or just belting a cross into a defender. On top of the underhit pass to Skrtel that set Harry Kane off through on goal, I thought all he brought to the table was a bit more running than usual. Running around more is the very least you can expect from an athlete - also if he didn't waste his energy flouncing about throwing shapes whenever he cuts back on himself, he might have a bit more energy to last a full 90 minutes.

My hope is that someone, somewhere will take him off our hands and someone more decisive and clinical comes in. He's the epitomy of the Rodgers beige footballer we're now pretty much lumbered with.

i never wanted him at LFC. Initially i thought he was just way over-priced.... (i know the wages are on a different level but when you consider what Matic, Fabregas, Pedro, Depay, Sanchez all cost....then this guy is a total waste of cash)

Then when i saw him play for LFC, i thought that he just takes an extra touch or two when it really isn't required. So when i was hoping to see Brendan implement the high energy game of 13/14, i always thought that Lallana would not be compatible. Also, i just don't see where he fits into a team already with Coutinho in it......

Although Brendan got a string of results with the 3-6-1 / 3-4-3 hybrid thing he tried last year, in reality for me that was the beginning of the end for him because it started the whole "lets play half a dozen players out of position" period. Lallana was central to that and for me, was a 25m mistake.

I thought he was very good when we didn't have the ball at Tottenham. He worked very hard and pressed the opposition well. But so what?? A West Brom level player - say James McClean - will do that for you. When you pay £25m for a player, then you want something very good on the ball..... the player should be able to beat other players - either with his feet, his head or a combination of both.

In my opinion, for people to think he had a great game v Spurs only shows how we don't actually expect much from him.

I think Lallana is going to prove a lot of the doubters wrong.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

I think there was probably an element of people focusing so much on that side of things it drew some of their concentration, like with anything new. Once it becomes routine it shouldn't have that effect. How much that improves the decision making is something else altogether of course

Think his goal scoring rate has been comparable with that of Coutinho.

Last season Lallana played a part in 41 games for us and got 6 goals whereas Coutinho played in 52 games and got 8 goals.

This season Lallana has played in 8 games and gotten 2 goals with Coutinho playing in 11 games and getting 1 goal.

If we are looking at it in terms of offensive output (actual goals and assists) then Coutinho needs to show a massive improvement in front of goal too.

Might have a look later to see how their chance created stats and assist stats compare as well.

Without picking on certain players I think all our attacking players need to score more and assist more.

I was in the camp that Lallana was a good player and would improve our forward play.

We still look like Sturridge is our saviour and that needs to change quickly under Klopp (holy **** our manager) because we all know Sturridge cant play every game and will need resting during the season.

Therefore Lallana and others better step up to the plate as no matter what we hear players will be gone if they don't perform

Yep it is a dead obvious thing to say but it is no less correct for being so. Goals win games and a goal heavy attack can cover up deficiencies in other parts of a team, as we saw in the 2013/14 season.

Two MOM's in two matches under The Kloppsta........speaks volumes

Yup excellent performances. Seemed the only one moving and trying to make things happen. The rest of the midfield was so slow and stagnant.

Lacks end product/final ball, otherwise he'd be an excellent player.

that part of his game needs huge improvement alright.

                              MOTM

Because he touches the ball the most does not make him MOTM.
Name me the chances he created today? **** all is the answer.
In fact he slows play down with his constant ball hogging and spinning on the ball. He was bought to provide goals and create chances and he doesn't do that.
He’s here! I *know* he’s here! That’s him, I’m telling you that’s him! You hear me? I’m telling you it’s *Keyser Soze*!
