Gerrard, Lallana, Coutinho, Markovic, Sterling, lambert, Balotelli, Borini. Trying to find three from that lot isn't easy.
Coutinho, Markovic and Sterling would be fun to watch as a front three.

If there's one thing defences hate it's pace.

Let them loose and let's see what they can do

For those of you keeping score - that's a full house. Every thread in the football forum is now full of miserable sods bemoaning everything, even the one about one of the best young prospects at centre forward in Europe, who we happen to have secured.

spot on mate i think most of the so called supporters on this forum haven't got a clue about lfc all they do is moan and put a dampener on every positive post people put up do they actually watch games or know where anfield is this forum must be full of the most depressing so called liverpool supporters on the net

Back to Origi - at least the lad seems to have good pace and movement. I think he'd complement Sturridge very well.

I'd rather he scored goals than spend his time saying nice things to Sturridge.

Actually wrote 'compliment', initially. Didn't look right so changed it to 'complement' English - such an ambiguous language. We should all speak Welsh

Fair point. But I don't think we play turgid football deliberately, whereas Lille have made it the cornerstone of their club. Our football ends up being directionless and jumbled because we're lacking a striker that is willing to chase the good things Coutinho, Gerrard and even Hendo can create.

At the moment everyone is creating but there is no createe. Lambert and Balotelli just come back to become yet another number 10. Origi has more movement than those two and much more skill/ball control. The worst that can happen is he'll score the same number of goals as them...doesn't really weaken us plus we don't expect him to score tons of goals anyway. We just need him to give our currently headless chicken system a head.

Best post on this forum by a million miles. There's more positivity on Redcafe about Liverpool than on here. But, hey, we've got the best fans in the world

I don't think we create anything. It's not as if we are putting great balls into areas and missing them or nobody being on the end of them

We don't even get that far it falls down about 20 yards from goal when it looks becomes congested

There seems to be a real issue that our midfield was good last season when the forwards movement and running created gaps to exploit but can't build attacks without that. It could be argued that rather than a DM or even forwards if we want to make Rodgers plan work an Alonso-esque player who creates moves from deep would be what we need (I seem to remember at some point someone was collecting assist for the assist stats for him).
