I think in every post after the game i've made it clear that he had a ****ing nightmare, pretty evident. I just can't abide by the notion that one player can make another 10 players all around the pitch to suddenly stop playing.... because that is what happened. "If" that is the truth and someone seem to think it is, then what does that say about the other 10 players? So basically you're saying that the midfield capitulated and were out fought/out battled & our strikers missed chances and stopped working.... because of Skrtel came on and had a complete nightmare? If indeed one single player can come and cause that complete and utter collapse, then the rest of the players are absolute bottlers.
People are angry and I get that, I am too. But IMO it's more logical to suggest that not only did Skrtel contribute to the loss (AND HE DID NO QUESTION) but also that Southampton were aggressive and went at us right from the start of the second half & that the introduction of Mane & Wanyama had a huge impact on the game. They made the right subs, we made the wrong subs.
Also, I've missed the part were apparently I am defending Skrtel? To clarify, I am not just merely suggesting others factors at play
