Piszczek, Hummels, Subotic ....and Matip for us its fair to say Klopp is pretty good at picking up a top quality bargain defender!!

He is a very good player alright. Very similar qualities to Matip but with a bit more of a physical side to his game. And not as right sided a player as Matip either so could probably compliment him in the LCB role as he has played in that role for both Southampton and Celtic as well as in the RCB role.

If we had paid mega bucks for him everyone would be raving, so the fact that he has slipped in under the radar on a free has probably taken the pressure off. Klopp used to be a CB and as mentioned above clearly has an eye for a good one.

Milner is looking good on that front, and Clyne for 12.5 m looks a bargain now too.

Of the current squad only Henderson and Moreno can be considered overpriced when bought I think. Before anyone says "Lallana!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" it's now clear he wasn't the problem.

not sure Henderson would be...in that same window Ashley Young went to United for 17m and Arsenal paid 10m for Arteta.
