Don't get me wrong, I like him a lot. But he's a real enigma.
That applies to a lot of our CM's, most of them are far too inconsistent
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Maybe they were in Phil's shadow too much - they always stepped up a gear when he was out and both Can and Gini stepped up a number of gears today.

I feel we lack a player who gives us structure in there. Without that it can be easy for players to go missing. Coutinho was the closest we have had in terms of looking to hold the ball but was still not a very positionally controlling player. Maybe that is just our style but we need one more CM who can come in and offer something different.

The worst thing is when we bring Milner on to close out games and inevitably give up at least one goal.

For me it seems he goes missing away from home.

Cant decide if he is good enough long term, but I think his position is always going to see a lot of players coming in and out. Its difficult to see what will happen until we know what Can is doing and if Henderson will start to improve a bit. Milner is not getting any younger. I can see a lot of players moving in and out.

I think its down to Wiji to show a bit more consistancy, as he can clearly perform. Perhaps its the mix of players in there, and he performs better in tandem with the Ox.

Love the way he wins the ball off the his man, shrugs off the first challenge, glides past the second, gets in to the box...Winaljdum...is it going to be???.....nope, completely fluffs his lines. Everytime!

why does he turn to moosh in the box?

                  There's definitely something in that.

Yep. We need someone who can control the play in midfield. A metronome to be precise, who would calm and speed up our game when needed.
                    Are we winning?

Every so often I wish we still had Xabi & Monstermasch. Can you imagine them behind our attack?
                      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Horrible player away from home. Rubbish. Bottler.

                          Haha

I don't like him as a player for me he only looks good in a handful of games each season. Rest of the time he's either ordinary or anonymous

He hardly moves to receive the ball. He is pretty much stationary and then he passes it back to where it comes from. He's good at retaining the ball and in big games this is a positive and he works his arse off at home. But away he's pure ****.

He's great at breaking up play but has not creativity at all going forward.
