Maybe Klopps lack of a real ruthless side in getting rid of players at the right time has made some players too comfortable and they can get away with more because of their history with him and the club.

I'd sell you for a Mars bar and I don't even like Mars bars, so 100m ( given he only has one year left) for TAA is rip arm off territory.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

A Mars bar a a bottle of orange lucozade was my go to for years if I needed a pick me up in work, the perfect mix of sugars, chemicals and fatOriginally posted by Doc_Piptorious View PostI'd sell you for a Mars bar and I don't even like Mars bars, so 100m ( given he only has one year left) for TAA is rip arm off territory.

Like I would get a Mars bar and a drink for you
Be doing well if the Mars bar offered for you did not already have a bite taken out of it.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I have been pointing this out for ages
The problem with TAA the passenger is that the fecker still has all the tools to be the TAA that rocked the right flank for a number of seasons in a row.
For me any issues he has are all mental. Now whether it might be the case that he sees himself as being "The Man" but does not want to work twice as hard to prove it or if it is a case of having gone really stale and just going through the motions a lot of the time the past 12+ months.
But he is shocking to watch sometimes. He is 25 years of age, 26 in 5 month. He should be at his peak now, no longer a young up and comer. At his age he should be capable of bombing around the pitch and looking full of the sort of energy a 25 year old professional athlete should have.
Instead he often moves like a 35 year old player that is just trying to squeeze a bit more out of their career.
Think if he showed the sort of mentality that matched his sheer ability he would be a beast. No way in hell did I ever look at the 21 or 22 old TAA and think that by the time he was 25 he would look physically shot.
At times I wonder if he is on the same sort of route as Dele Alli .I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

He doesn’t want to do the basics anymore it has to flashy passes. I mentioned in the match chat about the outside of the boot casual passes rather than playing a proper pass with the right technique. It’s not just the long range passing it’s the short passes as well.
It’s so frustrating because like others have said because we know how good he was and could still be. Imagine what he would be like if he’d carried on his trajectory and not gone the way he has.
Someone mentioned it somewhere but the loss of players like Milner behind the scenes has had an impact. It’s hard to know for sure but maybe some of the players who took over as the new leaders might not be able to bring it all together like the group before did in setting the standards.

Obvious to take the guy who does not press a lot, who is not good on the half turn, who does not track back a lot, that tends to vacate his position a lot and then put him into the DM position?

We either build the team around him or sell him. There’s no way he can play RB like he did when he was 22. No one’s got the legs to play like that forever.
The whole inverted thing is crap. It’s unstable. W don’t have the defenders for it, we always look vulnerable. If you’re always asking your best players to play 1.5 / 2 positions you inhibit their impact and burn them out, as we’ve seen with others.
If he can’t play DM then play him as an 8. He might work better in a double pivot with a proper top quality DM near him. We can’t keep playing him at fullback, we looked better with Connor Bradley.

Not sure i agree with that. Robbo has done magnificently well into his late 20's in the same role. Trent's a good 4 or 5 years younger, no physical reason he couldn't still be marauding up and down the right hand side of the pitch just now.Originally posted by Patricks_Berger View PostWe either build the team around him or sell him. I may be wrong but I think the issue here is that he doesn't want to play RB anymore, IMO the hybrid role has come as a compromiseThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
