Give him a couple weeks rest and hopefully he'll get back to his early season form. Clearly hasn't been 100% in recent weeks and his passing has been well short of his excellent standard, although his defending has still been fine.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

And he's not going this time. Good.

Is that confirmed or are you applying common sense, which is pretty irrelevant normally?

I would be shocked and disappointed if his going was even up for discussion.

It’s believed Real are willing to send the Reds €25m (£21m/$26.6m) and midfield man Aurelien Tchouameni for Alexander-Arnold in January.

Would be a bit of a sweetener to the sickener of losing him for free,

That would make no sense from Real's pov.

Even on my best/worst Tchoo Tchoo fan boy day I would not be so brazen as to suggest that sort of deal was possible

Straight swap would get him off their payroll... But to suggest they would then spend extra seems fantastical for the sake of 6 months. Think we would then needs to invest in a right back

Seems like a bad deal for Real?

Well you say that. And i know its fanciful but what if TTA had some morals too and didnt want to leave on a completely sour note?

This is a half way deal of us not thinking he is a total ****.

I am sure there was a high profile transfer not s long back that a fee was paid and they could get him in summer for nothing. Age has got me again, Brain fart to who it was.

Or, in the world such a swap deal happened, we could blood in Bradley from Jan to May to see if he is at the level we need, with Gomez providing cover so Bradley does not overplayed.

Looking at some of the injuries Real have at present I think the chances of Tchouameni coming to us in January are close to zero.

Also think the "out of favour" line that is being trotted about him is a red herring too. He is the Real Madrid midfielder with the second most minutes played so far this season and has more on pitch minutes than Bellingham this season.

Second most starts amongst the RM midfield options too. Averages 84 minutes of game time per game so still very much a first XI guy for them.

If he is out of favour it does not say much for the players that are not getting starts ahead of him.

Trent telling them to make it a good deal for LFC or he'll sign a new contract with us and they'll have to pay bigger anyway if the really want him

That would be the best case scenario as it looks pretty clear that he's off.
