I wonder in Gomez could provide cover for the inverted RFB? We would definitely lose Trents passing but it might also help with some of Joes defensive shortcomings.

I no longer apologise for the Pirlo comparison now. Teams just don't know whether to press or hold back. Our forwards look interested again knowing they will get genuine service.
I noticed Leicester tried to man mark him with either Vardy, Tielemans or Barnes but they got gassed with 20 minutes being pulled all over the place as well as having to do their day job.One tit for another.

Think that might be why we are being linked with Timber. He is not the tallest, but is strong, quick, decent with the ball at his feet and can play to a decent level at RB as well as being a RCB.
Not saying he is anything like TAA on the ball or in terms of passing, but would be cover/competition for both the CB and RB slots.
Have to say though I would prefer to get N'Dicka in over Timber as N'Dicka is on a free this summer and is taller than Timber, much better in the air, much bigger and far more physical along with being good on the ball.
The one fly in that ointment is that N'Dicka is a LCB that can also cover as a very big LB. But he is some ways is a bit of a LCB version of Konate and would be great cover/competition for VVD and is only 23 I think.
My money is no object CB choice would be Gvardiol but he would cost loads and again is a LCB that can cover LB.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

He does that most summers TBF.Originally posted by brightred View PostApparently he's been doing a lot of individual training this summer in order to be right for the new season. Fair play to him.
Can't wait to see him in action this year. Feel he has a lot to prove and if he stays fit, will be in the conversation for POTY.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
