Alisson is great, but people forget he's let in some stupid goals in the past. He's not invincible. Would he have stopped the saka goal? Dont know. I've seen easier stuff go through him before. I really like Kelleher. One thing I really like is he seems to always be fit as well. He's brilliant.If we didnt have Alisson we'd have been claiming Kelleher is one of the best keepers in the world, best one we've had in years. One thing I dont like about marmaduk is he runs out pretty far sometimes which could be suicide in the prem.

I've not seen anyone claim Ali is invincible, I'm certainly not. I am saying I think he is the best goalkeeper in the world though, and therefore better than Kelleher by definition. This is the case even though kweev is an excellent keeper himself.

Specifically on the point of ball playing, I haven't seen enough evidence to suggest that particular aspect is a standout strength for Kelleher. In comparison I think he looks a bit hurried and seems somewhat limited in options with the ball at his feet, whereas Ali can distribute with the best of them.

Kweev is still better than all but a handful of prem keepers out there.

All these things can be true at the same time IMO.

On fitness and general availability, few can argue the Ali misses more games than most keepers. You could argue that Kweev hasn't faced the same relentless pressure season in, season out, but the bottom line is he's always fit when called upon and that's a big plus.

The biggest compliment is the drop off from Alisson isn’t particularly noticeable. Given how we set up now and aren’t so open.

Of course he isn’t Becker level but he’s a top quality GK.

I think it relevant as part of the discussion. Could he reach the same ceiling as Ali?

Im not sure, but he hasnt let us down. With the new bloke we signed and loaned, it probably means he will leave anyway. But who knows. If we do finish 1st then its not off the back of Alisson's performances. He has been integral (and has been for a while, tbf). His problem is that Ali is a club legend and still has a few years left. He fully deserves to keep his place at the moment though.
