We expect too much from him. We are expecting him to score every game, if he only comes close he is a failure. Personally I think he is great and integral to the way this team plays now. As long as he is creating chaos for defenders, creating space for others, setting up goals and chipping in with a few goals along the way, he can hit the post as much as he likes.

Exactly, that’s what I was sayingOriginally posted by rudedog View PostHe hit the post twice (the pen and the header). The other two were pushed onto the post by the keeper making a save, so not quite the same thing.

The one that was supposedly tipped on to the top of the bar and won us a corner (1st one) wasn’t actually touched by the keeper imo, if I was it was so light as to make no difference to the trajectory.
anyway, here they all are.

Those are some amazing stats - 9 shots in total. When was the last time any single player had 9 shots in a game?Originally posted by rudedog View Post
Apparently his xG alone Chelsea was 1.61 (including the penalty of course)

He's definitely playing better, all round pressing is excellent. More of his shots are on target as well. My main criticism at the moment is that he can be a bit heads down and just leather it straight at the keeper. Direction of travel is good though. First two strikers on the list for me are Salah and Jota, followed by rotation of the rest.Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

I think he’s gotten a lot better at this (well, not doing this) this season. Last season he used constantly smash it straight at the keeper, this season he seems to side foot it every now and then- like his goals against Bournemouth for example.Originally posted by Venton View PostMy main criticism at the moment is that he can be a bit heads down and just leather it straight at the keeper.
I think the penalty was very frustrating- we were already 2-0 up and in complete control of the game, not like it was a pressure boiler moment, so any professional footballer should be able to hit that on target. In general I think he’s been unlucky this season that he hasn’t scored double what he has. I reckon he gets a hat trick in some game before the end of the season, where things just click.I don't tip
