Im not going to bet the house on it, but as long as he plays to his strengths, he will cause chaos and space for other players. His is contributing and we are winning. Cant ask for more than that from the team.

Yep he does so much more for the team. The defensive side of his wrk is massive and like you said he opens things up for the others. He is a nightmare for defenders and distracts them. I think Jota playing wide with him centrally in Mo’s absence has worked and Jota has benefited.

I was about 30 seconds behind and knew the first two goals were coming. Watching it on my real time, I was fully expecting Nunez to be the one scoring with the positions he took.

Really can't believe he didn't score last night.

My son calls Nunez the glitch.

When he sorts it out he is going to be scoring hat-tricks every game.

Even without him scoring we look so much more dangerous up front with him in the team than out of it.

He never stops running and often two defenders will track his runs creating the space a few posters mentioned.


Plus he keeps weighing in with assists when not scoring.


Last night was just silly though. He was so unlucky with his chances.

Did find it amusing that on Sky later on the "experts" were on about him thinking too much and saying that was the issue and the usual titters about keepers making saves.



Halland comes on for City, misses some absolute sitters, has a big air shot when it seemed easier to hit the target and all sorts of excuses were being rolled out for him and they were trying to paint Haaland's misses as being down to Haaland trying to link play more for his team.


Lots of talk too about how City's run of form in their past five league games (4 wins and a draw) was proof that they are up and running again and that they were clawing back the points difference between us and them over the course of those five games.

The team is looking hyper solid and fluid with the recent starting XI's. The current starters have earned their places. Really should be up to the rest to work hard in training and hope someone's form drops in order to get back in.

We can bring off players that were running a team ragged, then that team looks at who we are bringing on and they know more of the same is coming at them after the change.

One of Klopps gifts is ensuring everyone within the squad appears motivated and that they are part of every victory. I think he has changed attitudes across football to appreciate that it is a squad game, the squad contributes to success. Buy in to that has to be total and is a big part of why our morale is so good.

Think that we might well be on the cusp of seeing Klopp's loyalty to his players being reflected back at him for the rest of the season in a manner far greater than we have seen in the past.


I reckon players that were already fully onboard with everything Klopp says and does will be busting a gut in every game to send Klopp on his way with as many trophies as they can get for him and to get him that title winning parade his missed out on due to lock downs.
