Whats confusing to me is that he can be calm and collected enough to get so many assists, which can require a lot more thought than shooting which can be more instinctual. For me he is a complete enigma. Maybe he just get a headrush everytime he shoots. I guess if he can learn to stop shooting and pass to others instead he could end up breaking assist records.

Im just pleased that despite all that he is making a positive impact by being in the right place at the right time. I think Klopp will be a lot happier too with his runs and general play outside the box.

I think is about finding the right synergy in the front 3, and Nunez does look like he can combine well with all of the other strikers.

Weird thing is that his shot placement is actually pretty decent. He hits he target a lot, he strikes the ball very cleanly and the ball is usually heading for one of the corners you are taught to aim for.

Think he might actually have more joy at times if he scuffed shots and started getting messy goals or deflections.

But whilst I would love for him to be getting goals and plenty of them, for as long as he is assisting goals and drawing defenders to him creating space for other he is doing what you said he is and that is contributing to good results.

His link up play has improved a lot this season as has his inclination to track back and defend.

What has been very eye catching the past few games is the interplay between him and Jota. He gets very close to Jota at times then spins off (usually to the left and a defender follows him) and Jota then makes a diagonal run towards the box.

Is something I have not seen a lot of from Jota in the past and had me wondering if that is something (a willing runner by him) Jota needed to further his own game.

Just that Jota's link play looks a lot better of late whereas in the past maybe he was being expected to do a lot more by himself and as such getting marked out of it by defenders if nobody else was drawing them away on that flank.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

His all round play at the minute is superb. Can’t even fault his finishing really. There’s a good half a dozen or more efforts since Newcastle that haven’t gone in not for poor finishing but simply just strong goal keeping or blocking.

I think it was his best performance for us last night. Much, much more composed.

Still don’t know what to make of him though

The biggest standout in terms of concern, is the amount of chances. His numbers alone aren’t bad, especially when you include the assists. It’s just when you factor in the number and even more so, the quality of chances he misses, that’s where you worry.

If he got that amount of chances and just had a decent conversion rate, his goal numbers could go huge. That’s what we all want.

Two games hes had a keeper block his shot with his leg. I'm telling you someone needs to piss on his leg to remove the voodoo hes got.

Given the incredibly small sample size the lack of goals could be entirely down to variance. Crouch went 18 games. Suarez hit the bar 1000 times.
I think we're a better team with him on the pitch and am sure his conversion rate will improve.

Yes he does miss some easy chances, but also the keepers have made a few really good saves from him, he hits the ball well and has seen a few of his team mates mis-hit shots or get lucky deflections and get goals, it could easily get to him, but he keeps going, having shots and creating chances and we seem to be a better side when he plays. Fingers crossed he gets (at least) one goal soon.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Darwin Núñez has the second best minutes per non-penalty goal contribution out of any Premier League player this season. The Uruguayan averages a goal contribution every 92 minutes. Only Diogo Jota averages more with a goal contribution every 89.9 minutes.

While i do agree, He does seem to always be in the right place or create them himself? I cannot think of another striker who creates that many opportunites in a game?

I would be happy with 8 misses if he could just score more

Brilliant from the big man. He just keeps going no matter how he is playing.

                      2 proper forwards goals.

Not sure the second didnt bounce in off his heel. But he played well, scored two, and notched up yet another assist

Want to see him get back to back goal scoring games now. He’s more than capable.

10 goals and 10 assists - how good must Andy Carrol be!

I couldn’t work it out towards the end of the Second half, were our fans singing he’s just a **** Andy Carroll ironically?
