That’s not happened at all. Their is no player assassination.

Anyone who watches football knows that was a frustrating match for Darwin. He has something like 5th most shots in target in the League, up there with Halaand, Salah, Watkins, Son, Solanke, all the top scorers but his conversion is terrible. It’s not every keeper having a worldiewhen Darwin is in on goal.

He needs to sort it out. That’s not me saying he’s ****e. He’s incredibly frustrating, even his biggest supporters must see that?

Is saying that he could’ve passed it into the net really an “assassination”?

I haven’t seen it on tv yet so maybe I’m missing something but for me, he was 1v1 with the keeper with enough time to produce a side foot finish and slot it beyond the keeper’s reach. Or even go around him.

I can’t see how that’s anything other than a fair and balanced assessment of what’s happening.

There’s no assassination. No Liverpool fan wants him to not put these into the net.

You need to look at historical comments and attitude towards Nunez and others….. for example Gravenberch…..’it’ll come, he just needs time’. Hardly balanced…….. just saying

’it’ll come, he just needs time’.

Is that a quote, or your attempt to paraphrase people acknowledging grav is a young player who’s been in the league five minutes and he’s a good player to have in the squad? I think it’s the latter, and I think the comparison of attitudes is a stretch.

There’s are massive amounts of ‘whataboutery’ when it comes to just wanting to discuss quite an enigmatic player who misses lots of chances.

I thought he was at fault for their first goal massively, decided to press when the defender had 3-4 shirts to pass to, all 3 of our midfield follow up the press when they shouldnt have and they break too easy and have the goal in the net 10 seconds later

Just sums up a lack of intelligence

People will respond to what said players have done. I’m not going all in on Nunez but he HAS missed a disproportionate amount of good chances and it happens with too much regularity for it to be sustainable. If the same was the case with Gravenberch (or others) the same would apply.

And in terms of “it’ll come, he just needs time” - Gravenberch IS in his first season with us and in English football. Darwin’s in his second. So it’s fair that there may be an expectation that he should be more adapted than Gravenberch might be.

All the serious discussion aside, this made me laugh…
