Pendleton and Ennis are great. I remember in the 80's when the best women athletes were from Vladikavkaz and had moustaches, hairy pits and acne.

      We had Susan Barker.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

        Rodisha's effort was pretty special.

Just switched back. Has Beckham won? I didn't know he'd been nominated.

Yes David, he's great this and great that and let's not mention his slightly dubious business dealings.

I got excited at the mention of LA84 thinking it was Daley Thomson.

Anyway, I meant to post earlier on about how well Steve Cram commentated on the Mo Farah double win. Poignant and measured - as a commentary for the mass public it was as good as it gets. Not like the showreel seeking football morons who think that yelling a name is going to mark them down for immortality

                                "Agueroooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"

                                Do one. Please.
