That pleased me too. He seems well aware of his shortcomings and appears pretty pissed off with himself. Got to be honest, I never rated him at Newcastle but he performed a damn sight better for them than we've seen for us so far.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I think his rate of improvement over the last 5 years is also a good sign that he can continue to progress this way.

Did you not watch the Andy Carroll Story on LFCtv??

i don't think he has the passion or desire....doesn't seem motivated..compare him to suarez who is the complete opposite

He shouldn't be in the first 11, of that I'm sure. At least we have options and a £35m striker on the bench.
            Are we winning?

Do we, or do we have a 15mill striker that we paid 35mill for on the bench ?

I think he's always going to be clumsy and mis-control the odd ball, but I'm still strangely hopeful for him.

I think once he gets a few goals, and his confidence increases he will become the unplayable beast we all hoped he'd be.

We all need to have some patience with Andy I think. Ironically I think Suarez coming and instantly being a golden, golden God of football has hampered Andy somewhat. He must feel totally **** next to him .

As some of you have mentioned, he knows it too, and he's clearly keen to make things right

Not every player settles right away, but there's a player in there somewhere!

Can everyone please stop comparing him to Suarez (in ANY aspect) and accept Suarez is a one in a million

Carroll looked shattered last night, his touch was horrendus too at times.

He seems so slow and heavy legged but I'll put that down to fitness, he's just such a big lad isn't he he's massive!

He defo needs to work on his fitness and touch but he has a cracking left foot on him.

He also needs to be a bit stronger and stop going to ground so easily too. Goes down way too easily for such a big man he should be smashing defenders off the pitch considering his size.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

We also have two £20m players in the Reserves in Suso and Sterling.

The future is most definitely bright, we're faaackin rich.

never suarez is the perfect example to show caroll up for what he is at the moment and what he should aspire to be

I am even more worried after seeing his performance last night. Good goal, but he had real trouble with his first touch/'trapping' (as said above) a pass.

                          Can only hope he'll improve.

Don't think it's anything to do with desire, he does try hard. It's more to do with ability (or lack of). He's got some tremendous physical assets () which should be exploited to the full and I'm not talking about his heading and hoofing up the ball to him. As soon as he came onto the pitch last night we started lumping the ball, compared to the tippy tappy **** we graced St. James Park with for the first 20 minutes.
                            Are we winning?

I love the following expression, one of the best.

"He couldn't trap a bag of cement"

Neezh, you're the worst of the Carroll boo boys.

                                :bird:

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
