As I started to think of my 'Best Carroll Moments in an Liverpool Shirt', the first *highlights* to enter my head was Carroll winning a header on his debut against Man Utd, chasing a ball down at the Kop end and collapsing in a heap unchallenged at Newcastle.

I then began to *really* think of the good moments and you look at the brace against Man City and his goals against the Bluenoses and ...

Well, thanks for the memories, Andy. All the best.

I'll be ecstatic if we get £15m + for him.

The goal that knocked the Bitters out of the FA cup was worth every penny that we've lost!

I really don't understand people having a pop at AC they are either demented or very demented

It was not his fault Liverpool FC wanted to buy him
It was not his fault Liverpool FC paid over the odds for him
He has always tried his best for the club, including playing when not completely fit
He is on record several times as saying he wanted to stay and fight for his place
He has never moaned, groaned or whinged, unlike a lot of demented ****ers on here

Ok it didn't work out. But it wasn't his fault. He seems like a decent sort, all in all. Hopefully, all goes well for him tomorrow and gets to play for a team that will play to his strengths and for supporters for adore him for his style of football

Good luck with the rest of your career Andy Carroll

Good luck to him, he's not really been treated very well during his time with us and I'm glad he's found a team that will play to his strengths. It's not his fault we signed him for such a lot of money, and nor was it his fault that our new manager decided (rightly) that he's completely unsuited to our game and refused to give him a chance to prove himself. Despite all that I don't remember him slagging the club or manager in the press, or causing any trouble while he was at the club aside from unsupported rumours of drinking etc. £15m is about right for him, could turn out to be a good deal for both sides and Andy himself.

                Two down...

Who'd have thought how it would all turn out when this was taken.

Transfer fee was a millstone but we've signed worse players and we will do so again in the future.

No ones really having a go at him are they? He seems a nice enough lad. But the extortionate fee we paid hacks me off.

We have lost 20m on someone who is not even worth half of what we lost.

Like I said, he doesn't seem a bad lad, it was his style of football I am rejoicing departing. Couldn't give a **** about how much we signed him for 2 years ago - that money has gone and the club have been signing far better quality since. He was a reminder of a darker time and I am a lot happier that he won't be sat on the bench or available to the squad for the 'plan b' bores to harp on about when we're drawing with a mid table bus parking team.

Fwiw I agree with the sentiment above, he's leaving through no fault of his own and he seems a decent bloke.

We'll find out what he's really like after he's left. I think he'll go in a dignified manner based on how he's been so far but there's a chance he'll have beef with various people. It's a massive story and every hack will be wanting their piece.

Plus he'll have an autobiography to promote soon enough

I'm going to say good luck and keep dignified Big Andy, this is your big chance not to become a massive cunt.

You only have one shot so make it count.
