    Nearly snapped that fella yesterday.

He's looking Huuuuungry. Sunderland will be along soon enough for him to gorge himself on the Mackems.

Everyone who knows anything about football (ex players, current players, managers etc...) rate him massively.

Some idiot fans posting on a forum beg to differ.

My opinion is Andy Carroll will be the best target man centre forward/striker in the PL next season, Suarez I would class more of an attacking player as he drifts left and right but I think Carroll will be better/more effective than Berbatov, Drogba, Torres, Crouch, Chamakh, Dzeko, Saha, Bent.
I'm not saying he'll score more goals than some of those but all round goals, assists, link play focal point of attack stuff.

Carroll could very very easily be as unplayable for us as Drogba has been at times in the past for Chelsea.
He needed to get fit, hopefully he's done that and the niggles are behind him and we needed to provide him with width and service which we have with Downing, Johnson, Gerrard, Suarez, Henderson, Adam, Kuyt and probably Enrique
100% correct mate, some people on here who are saying he'll never make it etc, etc, (yes you know who you are), will be eating their own words very very soon morons

          Stop being a moron.
          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I happen to think Carroll will probably make it for us. But why do people who simply have a different opinion to you, need to be called 'morons' ?

He's lost a ****load of weight hasn't he? This pre-season has been massive for him in my opinion. I bet he's the fittest he's ever been in his life.

My money's on his scoring against the Mackems

Oh maybe it's because he scored, caused them problems and looked a lot fitter, athletic and mobile now he is approaching full fitness.

Interesting that on LFCtv Gary Gillespie said that he spoke to Carroll who said to him that "he has never worked harder on his game" said Kenny and Steve Clarke are constantly working on him positionally and technically
I'm still not sold on him, but I'd be more than happy to be proven wrong, but I don't have much confidence in him at all.

                              And thus the backtracking begins.
