I think we have worked ourselves up into such a frenzy about AC. He is only **** because BR does not rate him, yet he finished last season looking good and also done well in the Euros. Hell, he even nicked a goal when Br did actually play him. Since being at WHU he has also had several injuries. Whilst his Liverpool career is over it is sad how overboard we go in our near condemnation of the guy."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

He looked average at best mate, he only looked decent to how truly awful he was prior to that. He simply isn't a good footballer.
It is not condemnation of him, it is the craziness of how much we paid for a player who should have never cost more £5m.

I don't even rate Ba, although I wanted him when he was available on a free transfer. Just ask for £12million, say thanks and move on. Those double injuries with West Ham have well and truly ruined any hope of a decent fee unless he performs superbly in the second half of the season or he returns to us and bangs in a few goals.

I'm also tired of reading about how he was finding his form and he was starting to look good. This is another sack of ****, he was starting to perform to a minimum acceptable level for a lead striker - he wasn't anywhere near doing well in comparison to the standards we should expect or have been used to over the last twenty years.
Second worst number 9 we have had in a generation.

Errm he was actually, maybe not a world beater but no doubts at all he was finding his feet in the team at the end of the season scoring several crucial goals. And that is my main point, just because BR has ditched him so many jumped on the bandwagon. Whilst I completely acknowledge he was an utter waste of money at £35m I am tired of all this revionist ****.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostI'm also tired of reading about how he was finding his form and he was starting to look good. Sorry mate, but I am not being revisionist when I say I was not impressed with his performances last season. Miles off the standard we need by a long way and he was never what we needed or ever good enough.Originally posted by Tee View PostErrm he was actually, maybe not a world beater but no doubts at all he was finding his feet in the team at the end of the season scoring several crucial goals.
