But the chances he wanted to leave City, come to us, (most likely) earn less money, miss out on a chance at playing CL football, and not even bothering fighting to establish himself at a club which was a favourite to win the title since the outset, with Man Citeh prepared to sell to us while they were at it, meant it was most likely an unlikely option at the time. For someone who "wouldn't have been too difficult to convince", it's funny the lazy bast ard signed a new 5 year deal with them a few weeks back.
