There's no such thing as a not guilty verdict at the FA.Originally posted by rcasemore View Postaye, seems like he's either putting pressure on the FA to come to a "not guilty" verdict or knows he's going to be banged to rights and therefore making out it's a sham of a case against himOh I don't know.

Now that he's just another pro and not "England's Brave JT", the pressure on the FA, if there ever was any, I think has lessened.Originally posted by rcasemore View Postaye, seems like he's either putting pressure on the FA to come to a "not guilty" verdict or knows he's going to be banged to rights and therefore making out it's a sham of a case against him

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I don't see how quitting England puts pressure on the FA, surely if he wanted to put pressure on the FA he should have done a Shearer and just threatened to quit.Originally posted by rcasemore View Postaye, seems like he's either putting pressure on the FA to come to a "not guilty" verdict or knows he's going to be banged to rights and therefore making out it's a sham of a case against himThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It's in the wording, he didn't just retire he made it clear he was only retiring due to the case being brought against him by the FA which the courts of law had already thrown outOriginally posted by Exiled_red View PostI don't see how quitting England puts pressure on the FA, surely if he wanted to put pressure on the FA he should have done a Shearer and just threatened to quit.

Further proving that he and everyone who supports him has NO idea of the difference between a criminal case and what the FA are going to do. Burden of proof, etc... ****ing idiots.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostIt's in the wording, he didn't just retire he made it clear he was only retiring due to the case being brought against him by the FA which the courts of law had already thrown out
His statement is so whiny, I imagine he wrote it while cry-wanking on a pile of money in his mansion.
They had plenty of chances to drop him - they didn't - they took him to a major tournament when most sensible people would have dropped him. He's had nothing but support by the FA and now he's leaving on his own terms as his solicitor has clearly told him that he's in deep ****.
I expect a minimum 8 game ban for him.
