Noticed that and it wasn't picked up on at all. The conversation went on for a minute or so afterwards too.Originally posted by Deano View PostThanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

With the team doing well, Rodgers being praised and Allen getting some credit - I've no doubt that you're very happy
Another MASSIVE game

Yeah i agree (!) but what's that got to do with Allen?Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostOf course it does! That first half performance from Mignolet kept Liverpool in the game. He made some stunning saves and punches!
A few players played well but they didn't keep us in the game because they aren't goalkeepers. You just said it like it was a criticism of Allen or something. Just found it odd

It was more in response to everyone waxing lyrical about how amazing Joe Allen was, but the string of word class saves Mignolet pulled off in the first half seemed to be comparatively unnoticed. I thought it was a bit OTT - Allen was decent, a 7/10 in the second half, but it wasn't a stunning performance.

Was Mig's a stunning performance? Two good shots saved from outside the area and two punches I would expect goalies to make (otherwise they're just a liability with crosses). You're overcooking his 'world class saves'. He has made lots this season but none of them were against Swansea.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostIt was more in response to everyone waxing lyrical about how amazing Joe Allen was, but the string of word class saves Mignolet pulled off in the first half seemed to be comparatively unnoticed. This is one of the rare threads that usually stays resolutely on topic and you just had to ruin it.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostIt was more in response to everyone waxing lyrical about how amazing Joe Allen was, but the string of word class saves Mignolet pulled off in the first half seemed to be comparatively unnoticed. I think one of the issues is that a perfect Joe Allen game would be hard to assess - quick, accurate recycling of the ball and tactically aware positioning are a) hard to pick out a lot of the time and b) dependent on others performances to be effective. So assessing a Joe Allen performance is always likely to be divisive. Over a run of games however it is clear that he is working well in our system."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
