Personally I don't agree with SCOUSERTOMMY's acceptance of people bunking in at all. Especially when you look at our history. I can not see how it is justifiable.

This might seem trivial to some of you guys but one (more!) thing has really pissed me off about it all.

I've spent quite some time educating very cynical fans of other teams about Hillsborough. Some people find it very hard to accept that it wasn't partially or in some people's views significantly the fault of our fans.

How are they going to believe me/take me seriously after last night?! ('me' being the reports blaming the police about Hillsborough)

These aren't bitter people on a wind-up, these are sensible intelligent people, albeit people who hadn't read much about the findings.

Having seen all the reports from people on here, and the reports on the news, anyone condoning 'bunking' needs to rethink their view. Over 120 people were arrested for 'bunking' - that implies hundreds more got in, not a small ****ing minority.

Have any you guys thought about writing to the club or UEFA about your experiences?

I'm sure you wouldn't get much repsonse out of UEFA, but I'm also sure that Parry would respond. I am doubley sure that G&H would treat your correspondence seriously too. They have already indicated they want feedback from us all.

What I am saying is that enough people don't let this rest, then UEFA will surely have to do something about it, or at least face some sort of media backlash.

thats fair game lad, but for these ****ers to TRY and make me into their own little moral whipping boy is ****ing pathetic. robbing tickets from fellow reds, racisim, oot bull****, vandalisim, hooligans is ****ing 100% bull****. i have no problem with any fan trying to bunk into any game.

Sorry but i can't agree. Whilst I can't defend people who bunk in it is something that has gone on in big matches involving Liverpool for decades.
I personally think that more people managed to either bunk in or get in with a crap forgery simply because of the sheer ineptitude of the Greek police. I've checked my ticket and i still have it intact - so nobody has taken the stub at any of the 4 checkpoints!! Would this happen in any properly run ticketed event - NO

I appreciate what you're saying, but what would you do if you found someone sitting in your seat at a home game? Shake their hand or run off to the steward?

Question then mate - at what stage do you personally think it's going too far trying to get into a game?

I hear what you are saying (again).

My problem with it is that if there are more people in the stadium than there are supposed to be, there will be overcrowding, which can be dangerous.

Also, people who paid a lot for legit tickets and seats will find that somebody is sitting in their seat.

You would be amazed how often this happens on train journeys, with people sitting in other people's reserved seats and refusing to budge. That is trivial in comparison, but its wrong and its ****ing annoying of it happens to you.
