I totally agree mate. I'm just saying that the same thing would've happened, but to a lesser extent, if UEFA had allocated fairly.

Put it another way - if UEFA had given us the maximum that they realistically could (Let's even say 30k) and 30k had legitimately got in.

The remaining 20k or so would've still contained some who would've tried to force their way in. In this example, UEFA have done all they could and would've been blameless, yet the danger would still have existed.

In that instance whose fault is it? Not UEFA's.

Those who did that would've done so regardless, because they simply dont care about anyone but themselves. And forgetting the wrongs of UEFA, which i agree on, that cant be excused mate.

No matter what way you do the maths, you simply can't satisfy the demand. **** me, 50,000 people were out there - how many more would have loved to have travelled but didn't want to risk it without a ticket. Even if they gave us all 60,000 tickets I guarantee it wouldn't have satisfied demand and you would still have had a black market/forgeries/people charging the gates.

Besides, Milan sent a load of their 17k back so why would they need 25k?

I don't know how many they sent back but lets say it was 4k then that gives us 29,000 tickets for a start.

Once this is agreed, UEFA cant go back on it mate.

We benefit from that indirectly when the UEFA prize money rolls in.

Yes, but the police 'let them in' in because they were causing a crush in the first place. So it is the 'average joe's' fault. They are the 'cause' in this situation.

The blame lies in several places. UEFA arent blameless by any means, neither are the Greek authorities. But our fans werent either.

I tend to agree. What many fail to see is that we're an exceptional club with exceptional fans which demands an exceptional ticketing policy. There aren't many clubs which have such a dedicated fan base as ours and this demands an exceptional way of dealing with the 'problem'.

anyone organising any event would sensibly organise it based on the requirements of the people who want to attend.

for ****s sake, i organise my gigs more professionally than they organise european cup finals. its crazy.

Fact is we have about 25k ST holders. We have 45k at every home game. We have 60k on the ST waiting list.

Nobody can look at that and tell me the supply could ever satisfy the demand.

If they give us 30 and milan 30, milan send 15 back say, and they give them to us then we'd have 45k ticketholders in at face value and hardly any problem.

you have to organise major events with the requirements of those wanting to attend in mind or you will get mayhem.
