To be honest, this whole Final has been a right pain in the arse.

First we had the tickets fiasco and the debates around that.

Then we had touts ripping us off.

Then we have fans getting gassed.

Then some fans ticket snatching.

Then some fans with legit tickets locked out.

Then a return to the arguments on here.

Plus we got ****ing beat.

It seems that all that reaching this final has done has turned us against each other

Ha ha, fair points, but to be fair it's (hopefully) just been a healthy debate on here between people with polarised views on things (and quite a lot of people who sit imbetween).

It passed the day at work after yesterday's results anyway. I'm sure for the next major European final we get to the authorities will be on the ball and won't let our troublesome minority spoil things for others.

Ticketing issues won't change though - it's simply how you deal with the 40,000+ people.

TBH Revo thats the big problem, Ive shared my seat with a lad who bunked in the Millennium, when its a few lads its fine, last night it was ****in thousands.
One of the girls with us had a genuine ticket and a lad with a blag was trying to get her thrown out cos she was in his seat. Easy target.
The thing that bothers me is that this is getting worse and it needs fixin before something serious happens cos UEFA wont think twice about throwing the book at LFC, our fans have short ****in memories.

you wanna know the best bit i was up with the rich kids 200 Euro tickets full of suits and Milan fans, and our row was ****in empty. 8 empty seats. thats the crime. I reckon the end behind the goal had a good few thousand extra in it.

get this into your brain - the police have a DUTY to protect against things like this happening. I agree that those ******s who were robbing tickets off people or pushing down fences were right out of order, but bunking in has been on the agenda forever, as has buying tickets off touts. Don't tar everyone with the same brush - this whole thing isn't black or white

I know, I didn't say it was a scouse thing. It's just supporting it feeds the people who use the stereotypes.
To be perfectly honest, you supporting it or not won't change what happened last night so I don't know why you are being scapegoated.
I think some of the blame goes to UEFA, not for the number of corporate tickets, but for this stupid ticket application process where any fecker with internet facility can apply for a ticket. The whole ballot thing by UEFA is a ****ing nonsense, people who have no affiliation for the teams in the final or football itself end up with tickets. I have no problem with sponsors getting SOME tickets but the rest should be dished out equally between the 2 clubs and the tickets not used should be given to the other team. I also blame UEFA for picking Athens as the city to host the game. If Athens can't ensure a safe event then they shouldn't be considered.
I think the majority of the blame goes to the greek police/authorities for not being able to host an event of this magnitude properly.
And of course some of the blame has to go to fans who got into the stadium illegally.

What pissed me off about tickets was when my mate was looking to buy one via a different source to the club, was that he was emailing people from all over the world who weren't LFC fans.
They are blatantly just touts who every year will submit loads of applications through UEFA's website application service and then flog their tickets to innocent desperate fans. Every computer application service can be abused, we're all savvy enough to know that.

I believe it is UEFA's moral, and it should be legal, responsibility to ensure that this event has the very best organisation and the very best security.
These feckers are on VAST wages to do very little, if they can't get the most prestigeous club competition in the world run properly then they should be fired.
It's not rocket science.
