Sorry mate we've been down this road before. Wait and see is the best approach.

Honestly, read the article, it's laughable. Are we to seriously believe that DIC will give the yanks £75 million type bonus each, for basically gazumping them a year ago?

And to be blunt I don't understand all the clamouring for the arabs, people say they'll run the club better, based on what evidence, have they run a football club before? And what have the yanks done wrong so far, that's not based on silly net and paper rumours?

      Oh I don't know.

the pessimist in me tells me this wont happen, even it were all true and the Arabs are hovering in the background waiting to make their move,us being Liverpool means something would happen to balls it up.

its obviously the best thing that could happen to us,one way or another i just cant see it happening.
You two scousers are always yapping,I'm gonna show you some serious rapping.

          And I don't thinbk you're alone either.

But why do people think they will just come in and spend their money without getting a possible return?

Is that the way they ususally do business? I'd hazard a guess that it isn't the case.

Difference is this is in the business section of the observer written by financial not sports journalists. If you'd bothered to read the rest of my posts Nial I actually say who knows IF this is true or not.

I've also not said that I think DIC would run a better ship than the two jokers. One thing for sure, they've got a helluva lot more liquidity.

It is with their horse racing interests. They just chuck money at it and win everything.

But surely if the team is successful on the pitch, we will be succesful off the pitch ie. in terms of revenue etc?

I would quite happily settle for the current owners if they could provide a competitive budget to enable the improvements that would enable us to at least have a crack at the title. That said I appreciate the fact that our squad is massive and there is a need to reduce some of the fringe playing staff before replacing them, i.e. Voronin, Riise and Kuyt specifically. Benitez spent to the top of his price range before the takeover and often settled for second best which has made us at second best at the most. If the attitude going forward is "You can buy a £20m striker but you need to clear the **** you bought beforehand" then ok. That seems a reasonable approach.

As it is the general news suggests this may be unlikely. However, as you have pointed out, at the minute this is speculation. That said my objection is not their actions but the fact that the club has become a bit like a Jerry Springer episode, which would be slightly less unpleasant if we could at least beat the likes of Wigan, Luton, Boro and Birmingham.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

                      Really?

Is that DIC though, or is it the sheik bloke himself, the one with the beard, **** knows his name.

I still think it's a massive leap of faith, straw clutching even, to assume that if they take over it'll be the same with LFC.

IF the story in the observer is correct or even close, we'd be a lot better off and they have the financial muscle to put large sums directly into the stadium and the team immediately. How they'd finance that we don't know, as we don't know the details, but it would mean we would be competing on an even footing with the chelskis and utds of this world a lot sooner than we could ever hope for with the current owners.

IF the story has any credance that's exactly what they will be doing.

i think its obvious they will be better than what we already have,no?

im not necessarily looking for an abramovich type, but i think what has been proved by G&H is that we need someone with a lot more money than they have.

not to throw at new players, but to be able to get the stadium built, and at the same time provide a decent transfer budget for the manager, over a sustained period of time, not just 1 season.

Here's the thing about these so called episodes, it's bollocks, Rafa threw a strop, the owners told him to get on with it, and the media slags made a mountain out of a molehill.

The reason it's continued on, by the media only, is because we're out of the tiltle race again and the results and performances haven't been great.

Of course the fact that we've just bought a young defender for £6.5m is completely ignored.

What really disappoints me is that so many can't seem to see through the media bollocks and at the facts.

I accidently hacked into the security camera's at the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai earlier and can confirm I saw Foster Gillett and Rick Parry there!

I also have a source who has a source close to the man that supplies the Hotel with sauce that confirms DIC WILL takeover LFC before easter.

                                Trust me!
