Overall I'm very happy about the window, and we come out with a much stronger squad. The only thing that sours it a bit is the way Meireles left in the last minute, and I have a feeling it might be a bigger loss to me than Kenny

We just lack a bit on the creative midfielder side now IMO, but I guess Bellamy will get to cover left with Downing playing more central for a few games. Add to that Gerrard coming back and it looks decent enough.

at least in FM12 I can still buy another creative CM

I'm happy with what we've done, we've moved on alot of very poor players reducing our wage bill, of all the players we've sold only Meireles, Kyriakos and Ngog have really been involved in the first team squad regularly and they have been replaced.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Nope. I have him down as an impact substitute. Not sure he has the legs for 90 minutes any more.

I'm still catching my breath from all this!

We have turned around our financial situation in terms of wage expenditure by a huge amount and this will mean we have flexibility when it comes to transfer negotiations as well as money for non player activities such as marketing and merchandising. It might even have an effect on ticket prices.

I'm delighted with the signings and more so the goings.

We've done serious business this summer and most importantly got the first team signings in early in the window. Maybe paid a little more than book value for some of them but if Kenny wanted them, then the club were right to back him with the money to get them.

I'm looking forward to seeing the next window already. I think the bulk of the master plan is done now in the rebuilding of the team and squad. One or two finishing touches is all that's needed over the next couple of windows.

It's progress and that's good enough.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

A decent start. glad we have got rid of a lot of dead wood. Some players we have brought in,not to sure of,but time will tell.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

I think we've worked wonders getting rid of the unwanted players at this late stage. Our wage bill must now look a lot more healthy.

As for our signings I am definitely happy overall.

Was never Downing's biggest fan but even before he signed for us I could admit he had improved a lot of the last couple of years. Still one of the most one footed players I've ever seen at the top level but I think he will prove to be really effective for us.

Enrique just looks really solid both defensively and in offering something going forward, and I think he'll combine well with Downing on the left side.

I'm already loving some of Adam's passing, it does remind me of Alonso to an extent My one concern is how much protection he can offer in midfield, and whether it will put too much importance on Lucas performing his role excellently week in week out (which whilst I believe he can, if he does get injured and we then have to rely on Spearing...).

Henderson is definitely the one where you could say the jury is still out, but I've seen glimpses of him in games that lead me to believe he'll prove to be a good signing and will only improve.

Coates I must admit to having seen pretty much nothing of. If I saw him in the Copa then it didn't register. But everything I've heard about him so far sounds very promising.

Is that everyone? I think that's everyone.

Edit: Bellamy. Useful addition. Not much else to say about that one.

I believe with this squad we can make a serious push to get back in to the top 4 (especially with the likes of Arsenal and Spurs having somewhat depleted squads), and then build on that and attract players from the next tier perhaps. Got a feeling we'll spend a bit more in January.

                  Exciting times!

Happy with the transfer window. With no European football our squad is more than capable than staying in the top four and even having a crack at the top.

I'm delighted, we've signed some brilliant players that perfectly suit Liverpool FC, hard working, respectful players.
The bigger achivement is ditching the dead wood that we have, that has been sensational.

But the major plus for me is that we sold Meireles because we wanted too and because we could so we did.

We didn't sell him because we had to which had been the case for the last 5 years, the message from Kenny is simple if you don't want to be here and play for LFC then we're big enough and confident enough to say go on then, get gone and we're not bothered who you go and play for

I'm very happy. All of the players we have brought in have a clear role in the team, and there is a genuine sense of direction and purpose in the deals we have made. All of our signings are excellent players who have improved the first team and provide genuine quality.

I love what Downing brings to the team, his attitude and football intelligence. Adam is quickly becoming a favourite of mine, a top class passer and organizer we have missed since Alonso's departure. Henderson is going to be some player in a couple of years while still offering balance and contributing to our possession game for the here and now.
Coates' potential growth as a player is massive, guy is a rare physical specimen, and he makes a lot of sense with the other players we have at CB. Jose Enrique is a perfect two way full back, with seemingly no weaknesses at all. And on top of all that, we've got Bellamy, who's going to fit this team like a glove with guys like Suarez and Downing linking up with him and offers us a sound alternative which offsets our heavy dependability on Suarez.

All of the players we have sold, including Meireles, will not be missed. We have cut some serious deadwood and there isn't one member in our squad who can be considered a liability. They're either sound contributors or promising youngsters. That's what a squad should be made of.

All in all i'm happy, would have liked to have seen a real coup of a signing, but never mind, we've bought some good solid players and the squad looks a lot brighter for it.

                                The attitude is good too.

Not this window, but 35mill for AC is bugging me too, i just keep thinking, what could we have had for that this window..
