Largely yes - 7/10. Wouldve been 8 had we not sold Raul, who I think we will miss.

What I would say though is that if we get 4th (& I think we still will, although it will be much closer without Raul), then we have a really solid grounded squad to add 2-3 of real talent to next summer.
    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Not this window, but 35mill for AC is bugging me too, i just keep thinking, what could we have had for that this window..
      fingers crossed he'll come good.

Bit of a ****** though eh, transfer request half hour before the window shuts, and signing without a medical, how much did they want him and he want them, should have squeezed a bit more out of the deal imo, 15mill and i'd have been happy, selling him for no profit when the Chavs wanted him so badly, and so late..seems soft, he seemed so happy too, you just can't read these players.

But Commoli has done well tbf to him, can't really complain about the deals he's been asked to make, he's done well all in all.

          Too right.

But i think something will need to change, either we play more to his strengths, or he adjusts to a more pass and move style of play, need to see him making powerful and perfectly timed runs into the box more often imo, a lot of the crosses seem to reach him in a more static position, which tbf he does well with and has a talent for getting his head on, but it's his timed running into the box i'd like to see improve, could of course just be going through a bad patch and has that to his game already in abundance, but either way i'd like to see more of it.

A little disappointed now that Raul's gone that Aqua wasn't kept & at least given 1 season under Kenny to prove himself. Other than that I'm very happy, especially with getting rid of most of the dead wood!
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

very happy with our business this window.

all the dead wood has been shipped out - new exciting talent that is based around high tempo attacking football has come in.

the raul transfer to chelsea doesnt bother me that much. sure i would have liked him to stay for squad depth if nothing else but with only the league and domestic cups to focus on this year he would not have played anywhere near as much football as last year once gerard returns and id rather sell him now for 12 mill than next year for 7-8 mill.

bellamy returning is "meh" situatiuon for me - happy to have him back (pace, direct player, can give good width or play as a striker, experience and ultimately better than ngog). not a set-the-world-alight deal like neymar would have been but will add to the squad and im sure will see plenty of action.

coates at the back appears to be the real deal going on you tube clips, copa football and pundit analysis. long term for carra but can also play straight away.

january is only 4 months away and i fully expect us to dip into the transfer kitty again for at least 2 more players to supplement the squad for the league run in.

happy as larry with our business especially given that spurs have IMO weakened themselves this window along with arsenal. chelsea are not the force they once were and that third spot behind both manchester clubs is looking more and more of a possiblity now.

I'm pleased, obviously I'd have loved for Aquilani to get a crack but overall you can't complain with the signings or the intent which has been made by the club thus far. I'm not too fussed about the Meireles departure. He's a good player but isn't anything special, and IMO his season last season was overly hyped due to a goalscoring patch. As others have said, once Gerrard is fit his loss will be completely neutralised.

My only complaint is that we perhaps haven't signed players who have already competed at the highest level consistently, but we aren't in the CL this season so it'll give them a season to bed in (presumably) and we can then further reinforce with top players when we're in the CL and playing 3 games a week.

I still think that the jury is still out on one or two of our new arrivals but they've made a very promising start.

Yes....in the grand scheme of things we've had one hell of a ****ing summer window

We are not Man Utd(Champions), Chelsea(billionaires) or Man City(Zillionaires) - we are not in the champions league - We had a squad full of ****e

                        Positives
We shipped out in one way or another pretty much all of the ****e

We've addressed some very key areas....mainly Left back and left mid - were we have been woefully short now for years and years - and so far, signs are looking like we may have just cracked it

                        Doni>>>>>Jones
                        Enrique>>>Konk/Insua
                        Adam>>>Poulsen
                        Downing>>>Jovanovic
                        Bellamy>>>Ngog

                        Squad has clearly been improved.

                        for arguements sake - Meireles>>>Henderson

                        Negatives
The only negative is meireles....and i think that the fact it happened so late and came out of the blue to us, it's worsened it.

He was a good player, who added something different to the squad. It looks like his head may have been turned? or Maybe kenny didn't rate? - at the end of the day we've lost a good squad player, but we've got £12m for someone who may have only made a handful of starts and sub appearences between now and January.

I'd say we've have had one hell of a window.

I'm happy with what we've done. If you look at the squad, there are no glaring weaknesses and we actually have depth now as well. We've got a strong foundation to build on now.

I'm not 100% convinced that we couldn't have spent the money a little wiser, but time will tell.

I think one of the biggest things to take from this window is the performance of Damien Comolli and FSG. DC has done incredibly well to shift as much dead wood as he has, and he's delivered Kenny's targets. Fair play to him.

As for FSG... well how nice is it to have owners like this. I cast my mind back to a year ago. All those **** players still at the club, H&G in charge. ****ing Hodgeson. The court case... holy ****. How nice is it to reflect on that knowing that that's all behind us, and we can focus on football again, with the backing of owners who (so far) are as good as their word.

All in all, an extremely positive summer on lots of different levels.

Thing is though dude, with him officially handing in a transfer request, which means he'd give up all sorts of payments to him and his agents, the value to us of a £12m deal could easily = a transfer of £15m without a request.

When you look around - Arsenal/Everton/Spurs imo have had a bit of a stinker -
