Evra accuses Suarez of racism

The Liverpool players have this evening issued the following joint statement in support of Luis Suarez.

Luis Suarez is our teammate and our friend and as a group of players we are shocked and angered that he has been found guilty by the FA.

We totally support Luis and we want the world to know that. We know he is not racist.

We are a squad of many different nationalities and backgrounds. All of us support the Club's commitment to fighting racism. All of us accept there is no place in the game for any form of discrimination. As a group of players we totally support the Kick it Out Campaign.

We have lived, trained and played with Luis for almost 12 months and we don't recognise the way he has been portrayed. We will continue to support Luis through this difficult period, and as a popular and respected friend of all his teammates, he will not walk alone.

John Terry is our teammate and our so called friend and as a group of players we are not surprised and laughed that he has been charged by the Police

We don't support John and we want the world to know that. We know he is racist and is forever tapping up our Wife's.

I keep saying it but United and particularly Fergie wield far too much influence

Fergie has spent years building up his network and that obviously works to his benefit

FFS even Roy Keane has pointed it out so its not just opposition fans being paranoid

On Suarez:

The chairman of anti-racism group Kick It Out, Lord Ouseley, said: "The FA has shown leadership and intent through what has clearly been a difficult and complex complaint to deal with, and invested time and expertise to ensure this outcome. It has demonstrated that it will not stand for discrimination, something organisations such as Fifa and Uefa should take heed of."

On Terry:

Lord Ousely, chairman of the charity Kick it Out which campaigns against all forms of discrimination in football, said it was a "very sad day for football" and added that he was "surprised" at the CPS decision. He said: "From my point of view, yes, it would be very good if we could have moved ahead and not have to go through this."

Racism in football campaign etc has been set back years because of this incident. Its gonna be a free for all from now on.
