    Thats my view also

It appears to be one rule for one, one rule for another

I fully expect Terry to walk away from this racial court case with a slapped wrist and the FA washing their hands of this

They must be seen as being consistant

This is the reason people are annoyed. Not the ban.

The club has also been charged with failing to control their players, will we now see Wolves charged after yesterday?

It's a fair ban in my opinion. We can discuss how fair the fine but whatever. The ban is fair IF other players who've done the same thing got the same ban. Rooney and Ashley Cole showed the V-sign and Gary Neville showed Tevez the finger when Tevez played his first match against United after transferring to City. These incidents have been proven by picture evidence but none of the incidents have been resulting in a ban. Maybe I'm seeing ghosts maybe, but I think that all players should be punished the same. It shouldn't matter if you're English or from Uruguay.

At some point the FA will have to charge and ban someone for this though if they want this to be a punishable offence, let's see if they keep it up the next time an englishman does raise a finger or two.
            * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Suarez deserved his ban within the parameters that are usually used in such cases (annoying as they are in many cases).
Two entirely different cases with Rooney. He got suspended for VERBALLY swearing, after having gone right upto the camera lense, during a live match.

He also made a middle finger gesture (on a different occasion) to fans, and didnt get charged or banned for it.

Same also applies for Gary Neville and Ashley Cole. Along with Rooney, all aimed either 2 finger or middle finger gestures at fans, and all got away with no punishment.

I know you werent there at the hearing Lec, but seriously - if we didnt do this, i'd like to know why - why didnt we take that picture above to Suarez's hearing and just say "Why werent they banned then?" What could/would the FA say??

I've got no qualms with any of the bans if hes guilty but he must not be treated any differently than other players

IF any other players does a subsequent gesutre they should face the same punishment

Equally I expect that irrespective of the court case Terry should face a similar 8 game ban for his abuse of Anton Ferdinand

The problem is we know that the FA will not be consistant in this
                  That is the key.

The one match ban for giving Fulham fans the finger is fair enough IMO. To be honest I thought it might have been two.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'd guess the panel would say he was guilty based on the evidence and that the fact that the other players weren't charged wasn't their issue.

Consistency is a major issue. With Kenny having come out and attacked the FA for their inconsistencies, and him being backed up by a number of other Premiership managers hopefully the FA will be better at this in future, as recent high profile issues have brought them into the spotlight.

That said I won't hold my breath

Well they are the ones who would've decided not to charge the others, so it's entirely their issue.

It's ****ing pathetic and an utter disgrace. As clear as example of different rules for different people, as you'd ever see. In the past, the FA have usually managed to disguise their favouritism and create some kind of 'grey areas' behind which their agendas can be slightly hidden. In this case, there's literally no grey area, nothing to hide behind. It's sheer 'in your face' favouritism, not even slightly subtle or hidden. It's truly staggering.

It's only fair if everyone is treated the same.

It's the same 'body' though, the same authority. Not the same individuals perhaps, but the same set of rules, regulations and disciplinary procedures.

The individuals involved shouldnt make a jot of difference.
