Evra accuses Suarez of racism

What winds me up no end is that the FA have concluded that Suarez has said, "Porques tu es Negro" and "ok, blackie, blackie, blackie" and they are categorical with it based on **** all substantial evidence it seems. And people left right and centre have also concluded that Luis is a racist and that we should stop supporting him.

Seen a lawyer reporting that the report is "appeal proof" apparently, with great "level of detail".
    Are we winning?

      Basically sums it up.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Evra said he would punch Suárez if he repeated the comment to which Uruguayan said: "No hablo con los negros": "I don't speak to blacks."

What have I missed on here, as this is far less nuanced than I was led to believe. In fact, if this is true, it's blatant racism. What's the counter argument?
If that's how it went, why didn't Evra punch him ?

Maybe because he didn't say it ? the lieing ****!

The video evidence is the arm pinch that they say shows Suarez to be aggressive and not trying to placate the situation.

The report specifically states that the extra footage they have does not offer any evidence against what Suarez said. It acknowledges that the camera is blocked every time Suarez opened him mouth - either by someone else, or even the camera stantion behind the goal

Is there footage of this anywhere? because if their report of this is as impartial as the rest of the report then this 'pinch' may not be a pinch at all...

What's this about Phil Dowd's referee's notes for that day being destroyed ?

Have you got a link of the match Mostar mate? You probably uploaded that in the match thread at some point.

Saw a post in the comments section of the Daily Post, saying it.

What they don't have is audio evidence of the entire conversation and in addition to witnesses, which they don't have any as well, those would the only real pieces of information that could have been used to support their ruling.

Clearly they don't have that but what they do have is the video footage, that doesn't proves anything and it is completely inconclusive, that they decided to interpret in the way that suits and fits their personal agendas on this matter in general.

They found him guilty even before they listened to his statement of claim and no one can convince me that isn't the case.

Having read the report, the only ground for appeal seems to be Evra's credibility as this is central to the findings of the commission.

This is risky given the previous findings by the commission.

Maybe the best option is to not appeal but to release a statement making reference to the use of balance of probability and how this must apply in all future cases as precedent has been set here. There is a section in the report that details how any criminal prosecution does not have any bearing on the FA charging an individual.

That Terry is in court would mean that he must face an FA Charge. Any other action by the FA would open grounds for LFC to challenge the conduct of the LS case.

Another point is the use of abusive language being sanctionable. Evra started the confrontation using abusive language, which he has admitted in evidence to the commission.

FA action? I'm not holding my breath.

Also, what protection will Luis have after any suspension? More FA action? Again, I'm not going to hold my breath.

There are inconsistencies in the commissions biased report, LFC should expose these in the Civil Courts. Strange also that the notes of Phil Dowd should be destroyed. Why did that happen?

Very odd if true, especially considering they threw out Dirks evidence that he heard Evra say "you only booked me because i'm black"

If Dowds notes are really gone, then you can bet it's because they corroborated Dirks evidence, imho, can't think of any other logical reason for them being destroyed, unless we had seen them already, but with a case like this ongoing, and an appeal possibly pending, all evidence should be kept hold of, the relevance of something thought to be trivial before could alter once you have other info from the judgement, Evras version of events for instance.

We have to appeal this decision, it's clearly an injustice to give such a harsh ruling on such flimsy 'evidence'.
