He sure did. Unsurprisingly playing infront of that partnership, perked up everytime Aquilani was in the team though. Not a coincidence.

Much the same with Torres looking crap and isolated under Hodgson but as soon as Kenny got in there and changed things he was fine again.

Reading this thread has lead me to come to the following conclusion.

Some people seem to enjoy attacking Arn, instead of his opinion. The thought can be debated about. But there is no need to have a go at him.

I still dont have a definitive answer on Kenny, he did well last season saving us from a disaster. This season has been different, and since the bubble of his initial appointment poped he has struggled a little.

I think he is the person to take us forward, but Id like that faith to be proven. We are building again and starting from square one. But the players should carry the can as much as the manager.

One thing I do know now though, is that change would be a disaster in a time where we need stability.

Kenny did save us from disaster last season, but oppo fans have given me stick for the reasons. They say the following, for which I told them to [kenny]Piss Off[/kenny]. But after 5 months of mulling it over its worth revisiting:

          1. Kenny got lucky that Torres left. We were playing with 10 men while he was here
          2. Got lucky with the influx of money that Bodgson never got (thankfully)
          3. Most of the teams we beat were safe from relegation by then and not going for Europa
          4. Most of the meaningful games we did have to get 4th spot (West Brom - Hodgson's revenge / City / Spurs) we didn't do to well in. Manure obviously we did do well

Kenny has one chance to turn this around right now. Play the right formation and form players. Beat Chavs and City which I think we are absolutely capable of doing. And make a statement to wannabes like Spurs and Newcastle that we're back!!

The last international break came at the worst time for us (and best time for manure). However, this international break is much kinder and could be the turning point for Kenny. YNWA.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Eh, I only said what Rafa said. I didn't imagined it up you know

Rafa said that everything changed when Purslow got the job and that it was Purslow that made the football decisions.

Football decisions means who we should sign and sell etc.

Maybe Rafa had Aquilani on his list but it was certainly not he that made the decision to sign him.

Opposition fans are as prone to short-term thinking as Liverpool fans.

Oh **** this, what a waste of time.

Line up against city the same way as swansea and we'll concede at least five.

Do you think we will turn this around if we continue to play 4-4-2? Yes or no?

Would be a joke if we started with the same line up against City but I wouldn't be surprised at all. It would be as you say a big own goal.

City will start with three in the middle and completely boss the game if we start with Lucas and Adam as our only two CM.

We would be ripped apart in the same way as United.

I think he knows more about football than you or me. That doesn't mean he'll end up being proved right but it does mean he should be given the time for us to find out.

Bleating about your fears for the future which are based on potentially spurious assumptions is tedious to read and, given the way these things spread, unhelpful.

But **** that, let's all throw the toys out.

Weird one that. West Brom, we got stitched up by the ref (2 pens). We comfortaly battered City. And we lost to Spurs when the prize for the winner was Europa League, not Champions League. I'm sure we didnt want Europa League and our hearts wouldnt have really been in it for that game.
