If the title is to be decided by a single game then I'd have to be in Melbourne to be among fellow reds to enjoy it.

No way I could enjoy winning the league alone in the house.

Hey SB, is there a big reds crowd in the Gold Coast?

Thanks. He's right though and makes a lot of the same points I was trying to. Every statistic you care to look at has us nailed on for fourth. There's every reason to suggest we're far more involved in a title race rather than a top 4 battle. Those that are worried are worried out of emotion and fear rather than logic.

It's fine, I get why they worry, but I wish they'd take the time to look at the league table, look at the form guide etc. I think then they'd be able to relax and enjoy the run in, because this is a fantastic season and we should make the most of it.

Regardless of where we finish this season I just want to say what a joy it is to watch us play this season. I honestly can't remember a time in my lifetime where we've been as fun and as exciting to watch as this. I was only really old enough to start following us at the start of the 90s (I have some hazy late 1980's Liverpool memories), just as the decline began. We were great going forward under Kenny and Roy Evans, but nowhere near this good. We're electric. I'm absolutely loving it and I can't wait for Saturday!

We are getting there but we need to control the tempo of games better. I guess that'll be the next step in our progression and will ensure we don't lose the ball and concede stupid goals as we've been doing. But yeah, exciting times.

I'm not talking about control, we're clearly lacking there. I'm talking about fun and excitement. Edge of the seat football. We excel at that.

As you say the rest will hopefully come in time, but for now I'm going to enjoy the beautiful madness

Who's arsed about controlling games when you just blitz teams, go 3-0 up at half-time and hope for the best 2nd half
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Simply because that's not sustainable long term. We should blitz teams, in spurts, than control and rest.

I've watched a Steve Peters interview a couple of weeks ago and he was talking about 'controlling the chimp' in us. Think we've unleashed it at the moment.

What's good for us is we're putting weaknesses to bed. Our biggest fault up front was missing chances, that's sorted. Then it was goals from only one source and we're pitting paid to that now too. It makes us much much harder to defend against. It's a lovely learning curve for Rodgers and one that he's proving to be talented enough to cope with

I just did that predictor thing and tried to be as realistic as possible, I thought Man City had done it until I scrolled up to see the table.

                          But it is though.
The big stat that Rodgers seems to have really taken notice of is that Man Utd have won over 75% of their home games in the PL era.
No other club in the PL era has won more than 64%

In a 38 game season that 10% difference is 2 games or 5.7 points (to be exact)

So statistically (up until Moyes took over obviously) Man Utd were 6 points ahead of their title rivals before they even started.

Who gives a flying **** if our away form is a little inconsistent, winning most of your home games with an average away record gets you top 4.
Better than average away record get's us in the title race every single year.

The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

87 points would be a ridiculous total from where we are now . Did you have us winning virtually every game?

                              More or less.

I didn't realise though as I was doing this and kept getting distracted by work.

**** it, it's going to happen.

What do you mean 10 wins and 1 draw in the last 11 games - that doesn't seem unrealistic in any way

What game did he have as a draw I wonder?

Chelsea, City, Spurs, Southampton or United ?

                                Well clearly not the later...
