Lovren wants to leave and Klopp is granting him his wish. I'd like my employer to do the same.

He's shown many times that he won't stand in the way of players that want to move on for footballing reasons.

Lovren was never going to stay 4th choice, he's too good for that but not good enough to have a realistic chance of being higher up for us.

    Same with Mignolet.

I think Klopp has a lot of empathy with his players and cares about them, this is happening for Lovren whom seems to be well liked I the squad and by Klopp.

I think we will be fine.

    Interesting.

I guess the precedent is that nobody predicted Joe Gomez would be an international class CH as recently as last summer. Klopp must see something in the young lads. Hoever looks amazing.

    Bold.

Yet we were happy to spend £60m on a 19 year old defender this summer.

The players we have are very special and have shown they play an adult's game.

Could certainly argue that it cost us

There is no need to take risks in my opinion. We've had our fair share of injuries at the back over the years so I'm not comfortable with letting Lovren go at this stage. Also as much as Fabinho can do a job at CB I would prefer us not to weaken our midfield in order to shoehorn Fabinho at centre back when we've got a perfect 4th choice cb in Lovren.

We are relying on the likes of Gini,Keita,AOC to cover the front three. Milner, Henderson, Fabinho to cover the defence. A few injuries across the board and we are ****ed. Simply can't compete with City using untested youth and midfielders to plug every hole.

Before Norwich I seen Shaqiri working on one of the turnstiles.

I think it's a decision being made on a human level more than a sporting or financial basis.

That aside, we've cut a lot from our wage bill recently. Dejan and Sturridge are at least 200k. Moreno and Mig gone as well, I reckon Adrian is on a lower wage than Mig was on, must be at least 300k. a week better off just there. Surely we are preparing for something big next summer with all this streamlining.
All that money plus more has gone on contract extensions to Vvd, Mane, Salah, Bobby etc

Yep - I am not a Lovren fan but he has his uses vs certain teams and it makes no sense selling him if we are again rolling the dice.

We seem to have this mad desire to tempt fate by leaving us under resourced in multiple positions. You just know Fabinho will end up playing CB vs City away with Hendo as the 6
