You need someone willing to pay that fee though and as it stands there doesn't seem to be anyone

Had accepted a long time ago that he'll most likely be playing in Italy next year. Think it's best for both parties sadly, although a loan move is slightly disappointing.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

How is it that people think he's ****, but still call Napoli names for wanting him on the cheap ?

Surely they should be praising Napoli for taking him off our hands, look how much it cost UTD with Nani!

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

£8.3m that must be a typo

There was talk of £20m last year when Rafa first took over.

He may not be what we need in our current squad, but if he can stay injury free and establish himself in the Napoli midfield then under £10m is likely to look an absolute bargain to them.

                    That's a start

Are they paying his wages or does that represent his salary for the year?

                            So he's a liability now?
                            Are we winning?

I just thought of him because I remembered the role he played in a midfield 3 with Allen and Henderson against Tottenham last season. We dominated the midfield and ran riot. Maybe he has still got something to offer.

Gerrard was missing that game IIRC, cant play both IMO.
