Plenty of times. Rafa used to get crucified for 'prioritising the CL and devaluing the greatest competition in the history of the world'.
Majority of times Gerrard (and/or Torres) was carrying an injury, but sure that didn’t matter.
Unless you mean by Rodgers, in that case I don't think so.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Not often under Rodgers! Circumstances are different this year though, with all of the extra games, plus his ageing legs. He's going to have to give him a breather more often this season. This seems like a decent opportunity.Originally posted by Alex View PostHas Gerrard ever been rested for a league game?
I'd have him on the bench for this then not in the matchday squad at all for the Swansea game.

We have to try. We've tried almost everything else. If we play Gerrard and Balotelli the rest of the team has to compensate for the lack of movement from them both. Gerrard is not putting in tackles, interceptions, assists or goals, he should be "rested" - we can't sacrifice the team for his ego.Originally posted by Pablo View PostI think part of the reason I don't want him to start is that I have a lingering suspicion we might actually play better without him. Now that we have all of our midfielders fit there's only one way to find out.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Played really well I thought, hasn't lost it and still retains good composure on the ball.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

Agreed. He's not above the odd mistake but just so much more postionally aware than Stevie defensively. Plus, he uses the ball well and always, always, always makes himself available at an angle for the defence or other midfielders to pass it to him. I think that was a big part in us looking reasonably ok in bringing the ball out tonght. Should be our DM for every game he's fit for at the moment.Originally posted by danperkins View PostWas excellent tonight.
I'm not saying Lucas is the answer but playing an out and out DM in the DM position IMO is exactly the balance we need infront of the backline. He would start for me vs Chelsea.
