my point was more that the same people are in the same lists as they have played most games.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostSo does Mascherano. What is you point? If you make a lot of tackles you are going to have a higher volume of failed tackles. Again, well done at failing context.
Thats my whole point those stats you keep pointing to about how many passes and tackles lucas has done are based on volume alone!!!!_____________________________________
Weak willed, Wank or do they have a masterplan?
Think we have the answer..Slot!!

I am not the one making demonstrably false claims about him.Originally posted by red g View PostI know popular opinion doesnt count but if most people on here dont particularly rate Lucas maybe just maybe you are the one who is showing the bias??

No, I also pointed to Lucas' passing accuracy too and offer the Chalkboard as a way assessing where those passes go.Originally posted by red g View Postmy point was more that the same people are in the same lists as they have played most games.

And the bits about only 5 yard passes and nicking some balls are demonstrably false. He is a very good tackler, he rarely gives the ball away and he is a good passer (not in the Alonso sense, but that is a ridiculously unfair comparison).
And to say he is a failed box to box midfielder when he has not been used in that role is a nonsense.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostI think he does it very well.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostLucas does actually make runs into the box and it has been something that has increased in his game.
Who? That we can afford and that isn't Mascherano who wants to leave.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostI am not the one making demonstrably false claims about him.
are you sure_____________________________________

well only if they can pay 6m for him as they dont think he is worth the 10m we want.Originally posted by badpiggy View Post1. Who wanted Xabi? Real Madrid.
2. Who wants Mascherano? Inter.
3. Who wants Lucas? ****in Palermo._____________________________________

Work the pecentage out yourself... total passes - completed passes... 83% for Lucas. But the whole how effective was the pass comes into play. Most of his passes will be back to a defender or to gerrard/mascherano. But then thats his job i suppose!?Originally posted by red g View Postbut thats all you have been judging on with those opta stats is volume to??
here is a list of succesful passes then,........
1 Javier Mascherano Liverpool 1751
2 Barry Ferguson Birmingham City 1730
3 John Terry Chelsea 1664
4 Lucas Leiva Liverpool 1525
5 Frank Lampard Chelsea 1499
6 Darren Fletcher Manchester United 1442
7 Paul Scholes Manchester United 1442
8 Francesc Fabregas Arsenal 1385
9 Michael Ballack Chelsea 1379
10 Jamie Carragher Liverpool 1352
once again doesnt have percentages, but pretty sure that JC's passing rate will be quite high as he keeps it so simple.
I still dont think hes good enough over all, there are better players around in the same position who bring more to the team.
