Brilliant, I hope he has won round a few more critics today; I lost count of how many challenges he won, he was everywhere and used the ball really intelligently. The partnership with Gerrard worked really well. Again I'll note that at 23 he is only now at a similar age as Alonso and Mascherano when they joined.Comment

Superb performance today, absolutely superb.
